November 2, 2023 This day marks one whole year of my new personality, although not the best as I am still growing every day. The very first day I entered this college, little did I know that I would be having so many life-learning lessons in just one year. It's true when our teachers used to say that college life is different; it's not just studies, and we used to think that's so great; we didn't have to study so hard; indeed, we don't study the way we used to in school, but that's not because the studies are easier now; it is because we learned to make a balance and how to manage stuff along with our studies. Raunqan, the gidda society of our college, is like a big part of my life. My first year in this college would have been so different, and I may not have learned to manage so many things at once if I had not been part of it. Since it's been a year, one thing I've experienced is that I've never been this confused and strong at the same time. Confused because there are so many paths and roads to follow, and strong because I walk on the one I am creating for myself. I am simply grateful for this year. #college #motivation #dedication #Growth

🎓🏆I had an amazing day last week celebrating the achievements of my eldest and youngest children, both on the same day. 📚✏️What was more amazing was they both got awarded for their effort and attitude to learning. 🎓In my daughters case it was to receive a First Class Honours degree, and her graduation was a ceremony we expected to attend. We knew she would graduate, and her efforts secured that First Class result. 🏆In my sons case this was different. We know how much effort he puts into learning, but we didn’t expect to be at an end of year awards ceremony. You might ask why? 🧠My sons effort doesn’t correlate to his results. He can put in 100% effort to get 30% of the results of his peers in some subjects. His neurodiverse brain works differently, and processes differently, and this isn’t always translated to thoughts onto paper ie assessments and exams. Ask him verbally and he can amaze you with his knowledge. 🌟To end his first year in high school with an award for his effort and attitude and to achieve this over higher results of his peers is fantastic motivation for him, and is what rewards should be based on. 👩🏻🤝👩🏼In the education environment and in working life, noticing effort and attitude, rather than just results is the key to motivation. Not everyone starts from the same level playing field, and not everyone has the same influence on end results. 👏🏼Recognition and rewards based on effort is where we can all make a difference. P.S. Becoming : Moving On Yesterday, I had the joy of witnessing my baby niece's pre-school graduation, which brought back memories of my own educational journey. Growing up in a village without a pre-school, I eagerly tagged along with other children to the local primary school. Despite being underage, the school allowed me to attend classes and I excelled, becoming the top student in my class, even as the youngest. However, I faced an unexpected challenge when I had to officially repeat grade 1 due to my initial unregistered status. Watching my classmates proceed to the next grade stirred up a range of mixed emotions, and it is through this experience, that I learned the importance of resilience and adaptability in the face of setbacks. As my niece stated in her graduation speech, "it is time to move on." Moving on means using our past experiences as stepping stones for growth and seizing new opportunities; 1. Embracing Change 2. #Finally 5th semester has been wrapped and one more to go. here is my life learning not academic 😅 that i learned in my 5th Semester. 1). Not all People who you know are #Friends:- Maybe this one is something that Extrovert people don't like but it's true that all the people you know in your college are not actually your friends [even your batchmates :)] 2). Always #Hungry:- Here hunger is not for food but for opportunity, because not everyone of us has the placecom team like LSR has but we can still have our hunger for the opportunity. 3). Be #consistent:- Always consistent with the work that you have been assigned or you had self taken or for some it can be consistent with studies. 4). #College_Society:- As in final year students have an opportunity to work as President or be in the core team. Many of us got into the core team in second year but going for president is one favorite thing for students. Also, in the final year we have to decide how many societies we have to be present, Joining every other society is not a favorable thing.
