Founder & President | Experienced Public Safety Correction Management Consultant with expertise in constitutional governance, complex workforce operationalization & cost engineering.
No reconciliatory measures are reflected in the weight of staffing assumption values to provide tenable operationalization measures within these shortfalls. Apply the value of shortfalls by said variations as presented by command structure actual hours of operationalization vs. the aggregate of positional post counts values, plus the value of budgetary buffering in hours necessary within mandatory ancillary tasks to provide services as constituted by law. Measuring your staffing gap values will allow the examiners to backpropagate staffing assumptions from their genesis for reconciliation to determine proper measures. This provides for the reconstitution of staffing gaps uniformly according to tasks and standards necessary to take on financial outlays by absolute mathematical values in a comprehensive pluralistic form that cannot degrade by a singular measure. Comprehensive oversight on maintaining a workforce and its operational footprints can evolve to provide comportment and uniformity. The value of designated metrics within any field of study can be determined by their measures and the positive effects of their outcomes. Hopefully, this brings light to measures missed to facilitate long-term societal change.

Did you know that over 20% of Australian prisoners are housed in privately run facilities? This surpasses even the United States, where less than 10% of the prison population is in private prisons. In states like Victoria, South Australia, and New South Wales, the prison system is dominated by profit-driven companies. It's time to scrutinize this system and ask ourselves if profit should ever be a motive in the administration of justice. Read the full article to understand the complexities and implications of private prisons in Australia. Read my latest article here: https://lnkd.in/gmd3mqNs

### Unveiling the $1.6 Billion Revenue Stream: The Federal Bureau of Prisons' Commissary Sales The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) generates significant revenue through commissary sales, reflecting a substantial economic footprint within the prison system. Nationally, prison and jail commissary sales amount to approximately $1.6 billion annually. This revenue underscores the financial dynamics at play within the correctional system, impacting both operational funding and the economic burden on incarcerated individuals and their families. This substantial flow of funds is pivotal for supporting various programs and operations, but it also highlights critical issues related to the costs borne by those within the system. Understanding these financial dimensions is essential for those involved in criminal justice reform and policy-making. This week article on prisons looks at HMP Birmingham, better known as being Winson Green. This article outlines the different wings and their purposes, general facts and statistics about the prison, and provides a summarised view by Charlie Taylor. He is HM Chief Inspector of Prisons. I used his report as a basis for the article highlighting important points of recommendations to be adopted by the prison service. There is a variety of sections throughout the article looking at specific areas or prisons. These include custody stages, positive actions to be implemented, promoting EDI practices, and purposeful activities. Following on there is analysis of different ket media stories that are relate to the prison. #prisonlaw #prisonreform #prison #prisoneducation #prisons #prisoners #humanrights #humanrightsdefenders #humanrightslaw #humanrightsviolations #articles #writtenarticles https://lnkd.in/gKfBGqfK

Have you ever wondered why it costs £50K+ to house a prisoner? It's fascinating that PE firms operate prisons. 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗬𝗢𝗜 𝗪𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗼𝗻, 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲. This raises critical questions about the efficiency and ethics of private entities managing correctional facilities. Is this the best approach to rehabilitation? What is the effective, cost-efficient method that prioritizes societal well-being? At last, the Government has made public a comprehensive list of where its new prison places will be. In a parliamentary answer at the end of last month, Prison Minister Ed Argar gave details of the sites where 14,169 additional places will be delivered over the coming years. Together with the 5,856 places already up and running, the total, if they all come to fruition, will be 20,025. https://lnkd.in/edPRKwX7 Actually the list is not complete as the answer refers to additional sites which are “commercially sensitive and information released about these would prejudice the department’s negotiating position and ability to achieve value for money in these developments”. But it’s the fullest picture we’ve had so far. According to the answer, planning permission is still needed for 3,362 of the places though more than half of these are at the Lancashire site next to Garth and Wymott prisons which Planning Minister Michael Gove is minded to approve. While an inquiry has been reopenedto consider safety issues on surrounding roads, the MoJ will expect to get the go ahead before long. Less certain must be the 247 place expansion at HMP Gartree in Leicestershire, coming on top as it would do of the 1,715 place new build next door. Permission for the new prison was rejected by the local council but overruled by Gove. 1,080 of the 1280 places in Open prisons on Argar’s list require planning permission as do 320 at privately run HMP Parc in South Wales. So assuming the Garth/Wymott site is approved, the government still need permission for 1,647 places. Argar says they are on track to have delivered half of the 20,000 places by the end of 2025. Theres no timetable beyond that which I’ve seen It’s worth noting that according to information given to the Justice Committee last month, more than 1,000 of the 5,856 places delivered to date have been through refurbishment rather than construction; and a further 400 are classed as urgent and temporary accommodation. 800 of the remaining places will also be achieved through refurbishment. There's a link here to a spreadsheet with the data on the proposed new places. https://lnkd.in/evw_3DjW
