Job Title: Video Content Creator – Immigration Programs Location: Doha, Qatar Number of Positions: 01 Job Overview: We are looking for a creative and personable female Video Content Creator to produce compelling video content about our immigration programs. This role involves creating informative and engaging videos that clearly explain complex immigration topics, highlight success stories, and promote our services. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling, strong presentation skills, and an understanding of immigration issues. Key Responsibilities: Content Creation: Develop and produce high-quality videos about various immigration programs, including detailed explanations, FAQs, and tips. Research: Stay updated on immigration policies, regulations, and trends to ensure content accuracy and relevance. On-Camera Presence: Deliver content in a clear, engaging, and professional manner, with a focus on relatability and audience engagement. Scriptwriting: Write and edit video scripts that effectively communicate key messages and information. Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and immigration teams to align video content with overall strategy and objectives. Editing: Use video editing software to create polished final products, including adding graphics, text overlays, and other enhancements. Feedback and Improvement: Incorporate feedback from team members and viewers to continuously improve video content. Qualifications: Experience: Proven experience in video production, preferably with a focus on educational or informational content. Skills: Strong on-camera presence, excellent communication skills, and the ability to simplify complex information. Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) and basic graphic design tools. Education: A degree or relevant experience in communications, media, marketing, or a related field is preferred. Australian tech companies are easing educational requirements for job openings, focusing on practical skills to diversify their workforce. Canva, a US$1 billion graphic design software developer, dropped educational requirements for job openings years ago. Culture Amp, an HR tech company, and WiseTech Global, a logistics software developer, have also removed these requirements, except for specialist roles. Justin Angsuwat, Culture Amp's head of HR, noted that "a degree is the weakest predictor of skills." "This skills-based approach helps us create diverse teams to solve problems," said Angelina McMenamin, WiseTech Global's head of talent. She added that work ethic, problem-solving style, and learning agility are stronger indicators of future success than past titles or education. As of 2023, 32% of Australians aged 15-74 had a university degree, compared to 20% in Japan. In 2021, 97% of Australian IT job postings required a degree, higher than the U.K.'s 90% and the U.S.'s 86%. A labor crunch is pushing companies to rethink this strategy. Australia's tech industry employed 935,000 people as of May 2023, up 8% from the previous year, with 1.3 million needed by 2030.
