Ultrasonography, commonly known as ultrasound, is a versatile imaging technique used in various medical fields to visualize internal organs, tissues, and blood flow. It employs high-frequency sound waves to create images of structures within the body, making it a safe and non-invasive diagnostic tool. Here, we explore the different types of ultrasonography tests, including abdominal, breast, obstetrics and gynecology, fetal echocardiography, pediatric echocardiography, adult echocardiography, vascular, and musculoskeletal ultrasounds. https://lnkd.in/gGTXx48p #BhaloTheko

A new narrative review on regenerative medicine in gynecology by Magee-Womens investigator Dr. Pamela Moalli and one of her PhD students, Jules Balough, MS, was recently published in the American Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology. It explores the potential of regenerative medicine to address issues affecting the female reproductive tract caused by congenital abnormalities, medical interventions, and aging. The review highlights current cell-based and scaffolding therapies used in animal and tissue culture models, examines their limitations and implementation challenges, and considers the future outlook of the field. The goal is to leverage endogenous mechanisms for maintaining tissue integrity and promoting healing after injury or disease. Read the full report here: https://bit.ly/3Vz9OUH
