I came across an article this morning and I'm surprised to see Eveready to share their hiring strategy, and I really think it's a good one to share. One of Eveready’s strong suit is in its practice of organizational staffing especially in hiring raw talents regardless of position. The strategies: 🔹 Employee referral scheme 🔹 Campus hiring 🔹 Job portals 🔹 Cross-functional transfers and job rotations In the case of middle management openings, the company has an internal policy of promoting from within through line rotation and a certain degree of off job transfer. It is also the level of entry of executive trainee/management trainee who undergoes his training through a mentor as he follows a senior professional/leader who is part of the senior management team of the Company. In the past financial year, for employment of 338 employees in all categories, the company used all the methods aforementioned above, except the workmen and contractual workers. Eveready encourages job rotations and cross-functional roles. Here are some examples of frequent transfers within our company: 1. Marketing to Sales 2. Sales to Product Management 3. Manufacturing to Marketing 4. Manufacturing to HR 5. HR to Supply Chain 6. Supply Chain to Procurement There are a few things I'd like to ask: - As HR, what do you think about this strategy? - Will this help the company to grow? - Will this help in talent retention?
