Release the Greyhounds: Prompt to Business Process. Accelerating business transformation with "AI Digital Twins". I enjoyed a fantastic session with Peter Everill going thru "Quantifying Your Value: The framework used to realise £100m profit" on Kyle Winterbottoms and Orbition Groups awesome podcast (check out the session - link in comments). Peter went through his consultancy-based framework for delivering e2e data products that directly drive P&L to the tune of 100s of millions). TLDR; It starts with the business process (YES!!!). Note: All D&A teams should be doing this! There was a question about how LLMs can help with this process (as we use our Data Product Pyramid to do exactly this). So I'd thought I'd answer how we do this: We have developed a solution to create full e-2-e business processes (described as Data Object Graphs in markup) from prompts. 1- We use our Data Product Pyramid process to solicit the high-level requirement and turn it into a simple prompt, describing the ask! 2- Our AI solution uses this to create an end-to-end full business process. Data to business outcome, with defined data products (AI Forecasts, LLMs (SLM, OSS and Saas), ML models, pipelines, decision models, metrics etc.) as a Data Object Graph (DOG). All described in a human and machine readable markup language where a data product at each step with their required data. 3- The DOG is then automatically executed on a graph and data product container distributed processing engine and visualised in 3d schematic form. This is the essence of the "AI Digital Twin". The whole graph can be run or individual data products can be run in isolation. We can then iterate to refine or change as the business changes, including hardening each data product with DQ rules and testing etc. This type of rapid prototyping with iteration with one click to production at a e2e business process level means we can quickly, cheaply transform businesses with massively high speed and low risk. We can "try" new ideas as a Digital Twin (Data, process and UX) in days and offering a quick path to production. Try out AI and new ways of working.
