Technology Day 2024 Theme "School to Startups , Igniting Young minds to Innovate" aiming to inspire innovation and startup culture. National Technology Day in India was started by the former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in 1999. The first celebration took place on May 11, 1999, organized by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). It’s a day to honor Indian scientists, engineers, and technologists who have contributed to our country. In the digital age, digital literacy and skill development are paramount for individual empowerment and economic progress. National Technology Day underscores the importance of equipping individuals with the necessary skills to thrive in a technology-driven world. By investing in human capital and fostering talent, India can unlock its full potential as a global technological powerhouse. National Technology Day also provides an opportunity to celebrate collaborations and partnerships on the global stage. Remember "Technology is useful as servant and dangerous as Master". Here’s my vision for India's technology sector in the next ten years and the major milestones we’ll see along the way: India will emerge as Technology capital of the world and it has got all major basic ingredients. Major milestones will be setting up and operationalising the Fab units for local India manufacturing of all possible chips sets, successfully allocating money and making use of funding activities through National Quantum mission for Quatum leapfrog from India, India has one of the strongest digital technology stack like Aadhar and UPI, it has to start licensing the same to advanced economies like US, UK and Europe so that they can catch up with India in Digital economy and advancements, also India’s recent success in space research Industry( Chandrayaan) is proven and we need to encourage private companies to drive more involvement with Technology transfers to bigger advanced economies. India is ready to create more wealth with technologies we have been developing and proven like recent space Technology ( Chandrayaan) one in Space and Digital stack. Governments should facilitate the same for wealth creation in India. India Stack is in demand globally. we need to promote early entrepreneurship and Innovation with IITS,NITs and National institutions of importance with allocation of large and impactful major funds, establishing reputed mentor network through our best Business and Engineering schools like IITs, IIMs, NITS and IIITs will be key. We should allow the venture capital and seed funding less administrative overhead and freedom to operate with less or no regulation when they choose to fund from reputed schools., #TechWrapIndia #LinkedInNewsIndia
