How long will it take to bring my case to a conclusion? The duration of your case depends on many variables, including the complexity of the case and how long it takes you to reach Maximum Medical Improvement (MMI). A Florida Injury Law Group’s lawyer would never allow a client to sign a release too soon—to avoid the risk of finding out later that more surgery is needed or that future medical costs may be incurred. With that being said, our average negligence case is resolved within 12 months from the time your Fort Lauderdale accident attorney accepts the case (if litigation is not necessary). https://ow.ly/u7A450TfOjH #personalinjuryattorney #autoaccident #personalinjurycase #ftlauderdale

Navigating medical negligence claims requires demonstrating a breach of duty by healthcare professionals and linking it to resulting injuries. Common examples include misdiagnosis, surgery errors, and medication mistakes. Consulting with a seasoned medical malpractice attorney promptly after an injury is crucial to understanding your legal options and pursuing appropriate recourse. #TheRoddFirm #Thomasville #MedicalNegligence #MalpracticeClaims #PatientRights

Surgical complications happen. Are they malpractice? -------- Surgical complication (SC) ≠ Medical Malpractice (MM) SC + Failure to Properly Address Complication = MM Operating without indication for surgery + SC = MM SC + Trying to hide complication... ??? sometimes = MM The list could go on for a long time... but you get the point. Differentiating between a known surgical complication and medical malpractice is one of the most challenging tasks for a medical malpractice attorney. Medical malpractice... despite what we want to believe... is not black and white... There are definitely shades of gray.... or grey... (see... even that isn't clear!) #medicalmalpractice #expertwitness ___________ I am Jeff Willis, MD. I work collaboratively with medical malpractice attorneys on case merit analysis. Fast. Affordable. Dare I say "boutique"? Just send me an email and I'll show you. jeff@ocmedlegal.com

Blindness is a devastating outcome of medical malpractice. It can affect anyone who undergoes surgery or treatment for any condition, not just those related to the eye. Unfortunately, many cases of blindness are caused by medical errors, such as delayed diagnosis, surgical mistakes, medication errors or infections. These errors can damage the optic nerve, retina, cornea or the lens of the eye, resulting in partial or total vision loss. Sometimes, the blindness is temporary and can be reversed with proper treatment. Other times it's permanent and irreversible. If you or a loved one suffered blindness due to a medical procedure by a healthcare provider, you may be entitled to compensation. Recover damages for your medical expenses, lost income, pain and suffering, emotional distress and loss of enjoyment in life. At Scott Harris Law, we have the knowledge, resources and the passion to fight for your rights. We have helped many clients who suffered blindness due to medical malpractice get the justice and compensation they deserve. #arbitrationlawyer #insurancesettlementservice #californialawsuits

My supervising lawyer became unwell pretty quickly. It all started with a couple sick days with minimal communication from him (which was extremely rare) followed by an emergency surgery and recovery time. Best case scenario, my supervising lawyer would have been out of the hospital and hitting the ground running by now. Unfortunately, things played out a little differently and he is still hospitalized. He won’t be able to hit the ground running because his release from the hospital will be followed by several weeks of intense rehabilitation. Know what I learned from this experience? First, and definitely most appreciated: almost all clients, lawyers and other legal professionals are extremely understanding. The majority of the support received from other humans makes up for the small handful of lawyers that are willing to use the opportunity to show off a lack of integrity and questionable practices. Second, I can’t stress this enough: our firm would be in crisis without the very few lawyers that were identified as “safe” to lean on by the supervising lawyer. Lawyers: make sure your support staff know who the “safe” lawyers are in the case of an emergency.

The typical OMS will defend at least one claim in their career. Make sure you partner with a malpractice company that: • Specializes in protecting oral & maxillofacial surgeons • Has practicing clinicians review claims for the strongest defense • Won’t settle a claim without your consent (where the law allows) • Will fight to protect you, your practice & your reputation Make sure you partner with #OMSNIC.
