Over the last 6 months, we helped our Head of People grow by 4,000 followers and generate dozens of applications. Here’s how we did it: Some background: Until June 2024, Marlis Zeiss had silently been running all of notus's recruiting behind the scenes. At that point, we realized we needed to diversify our presence beyond my LinkedIn profile. On top of that, we wanted to showcase the amazing individuals driving our business forward. Marlis also wanted to share her insights into HR, but with her day-to-day responsibilities, managing LinkedIn herself wasn’t an option. • So we treated her like a notus client, • assigned her a content strategist, • and took her through our signature process: 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟭 - 𝗦𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗽 𝗦𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝘁 • Conducted a Deep Dive Interview to get a 360° view • Created her content archetype & media strategy • Optimized her LinkedIn profile → recruiting prio 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟮 - 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲 Once the strategy was set, we transitioned into content creation. Here we scheduled bi-weekly content calls with her Content Strategist Uma, to gather fresh inputs and updates. Now, she was ready to publish posts on her core topics: • Building the notus recruitment process in public • Learnings from a 24-year-old Head of People • Learnings from her own LinkedIn journey • Tips & tricks for recruiters & applicants • (Remote) work trends & insights Now, 6 months later - looking at the results is remarkable: • Generated a total of 550,736 impressions • Grew her following from 2,000 to 6,000 • Attracted dozens of new applications On top of that, Marlis’s personal brand has had a cascading effect on how we’re perceived as an organization. By openly sharing her work, insights, and journey, she’s not just creating value for herself, but amplifying what notus stands for: A collective of smart, inspiring individuals who are co-creating something meaningful. ___ PS: We launched 4 more notus faces last year. Two inspiring days at TALENTpro in Munich. Together with my colleagues Anne Lamla and Julia Schiechel, I had the pleasure of listening to many inspiring presentations on the topic of recruiting and employer branding. I was particularly impressed by the authentic and entertaining presentations by Dr. Stefan Döring and Dr. Florian Chitic. Thanks for your insights! My takeaways from the fair: 👉 Be authentic internally and externally: Authenticity is key to building a strong employer brand and gaining the trust of potential candidates. 👉 Focus on Gen Z: A deeper look at Generation Z has shown how important it is to understand their values and expectations and integrate them into our strategies. 👉 Continuous development: Employer branding is an ongoing process that needs to be continuously reviewed and adapted to remain relevant.
