At Mercom India (formerly Mercom Communications India)'s C&I Clean Energy Meet in Pune, Mr. Saurabh Agarwal, DGM, Business Development, Amplus Solar, offered his perspective on the growth of open access in the renewable energy industry. “With companies increasingly setting carbon neutrality and RE100 commitments, demand for open access RE is expected to grow rapidly. The Indian government has been pushing for more accessible RE procurement pathways. The Green Energy Open Access Rules, 2022, have already lowered the demand threshold from 1 MW to 100 kW, making open access viable for a broader range of businesses.
