Jugaad Technology! I still recall the journey of Chamba, Himachal Pradesh. I was on a family trip. We stopped near a river to enjoy its company. There was a small pond on the outskirts of this river. I observed a few kids enjoying a boat ride. They developed this boat with waste material mainly from thermocol sheets. See the picture posted with this article. Kids were having a great time by moving around in the water through this self-made boat. This boat was a great example of Jugaad technology. I realised the power of Jugaad technology. The benefits of Jugaad Technology: · It’s economical · It provides immediate solution · Everybody has the power to use this technology · You don’t require any formal degree from any university to use it I see usage of Jugaad technology everywhere irrespective of homes, offices, institutes, companies etc. It’s all the mindset. We recently used this technology for our play “Badminton.” We used the nylon ropes & nails to fix the boundaries for the ground & it’s working absolutely fine.
