This week is #ClutterAwarenessWeek, meant to draw attention to the often-overlooked mental and physical tolls excessive clutter can have on individuals. In addition to what's listed here, clutter can often cause social isolation, as people become embarrassed to welcome guests into their home, increasing risk of further mental health concerns such as anxiety and depression. Some tips to help de-clutter your spaces include: Starting small, like with a single drawer or shelf. Setting a timer, and do whatever you can accomplish in 10, 15, or 20 minutes. Trying to sort items into several boxes or baskets. Getting rid of items that do not spark joy or serve a purpose.
