They got 10 new trucks in 8 months. Here's how👇 And keep in mind, this was after a decade of stagnating growth Here's what we did: 1. Swapped to active driver leads instead of passive leads Instead of posting on ineffective job boards, or waiting on recruitment agencies that only care about profit over driver quality We helped this company build out a social media ads system that generates leads from qualified drivers on autopilot When you have an abundance of leads, you can be more picky with the quality of driver you get to hire This leads to happier customers, longer driver retention, easier communication for your in-office employees, and so many more benefits 2. Restructured back-end systems And once they secured the new driver leads, we restructured how the drivers were being on-boarded, and the benefits (that aren't pay related) they were being given It doesn't matter how qualified the drivers are - if you don't have good reasons to get them to stay - they will leave at the earliest opportunity These two simple (but not easy) changes allowed this trucking business to add 10 new trucks to their fleet in a matter of only 8 months 🤯

3 "Secrets" I've learned working with the fastest-growing trucking companies... After spending over $1M/year on hiring truck drivers. 1. The mass majority of drivers don't matter (to your trucking company) 2. Your driver recruitment budget shouldn't be evenly distributed throughout the year. 3. When you offer a sign-on bonus, you boost hires in the short term & ruin your ability to hire in the long term.

In Part 2 of the FleetOwner article, Selerix Vice President of Business Development, Jasper Purvis, discusses how communication will greatly benefit both drivers and managers, beyond the hiring process. For example, when open enrollment time comes around, for drivers that experience a life-changing event, “those are the points in your life where those benefits are most important, and we don't do a very good job at talking to (the employee) when the employee needs it.” https://lnkd.in/ea8E5WU5 #trucking #driverrecruitment #openenrollment #employeebenefits

DriverReach , you're kidding, right? That's the best you've got? All of those points are great!! Great if a carrier is interested in continuing the same old, same old, regurgitated ineffective strategies that haven't worked for the past 15 years. Are all of those points well intended? You bet !! Are they effective?? Only if you wish to continue having at best marginal success. But if a carrier is truly interested in addressing turnover and improving retention... Then you'll invite me onto your podcast with Jeremy and share with your followers a different, totally effective method, utilizing #PredictiveHiring. What are you afraid of?? Afraid to let your followers know the TRUTH and allow them to decide for themselves ?? They DESERVE the TRUTH !! Don't you agree?? https://lnkd.in/g2KK-sMN .
Ready to recruit more drivers? Who isn’t! But if the same old strategy isn’t quite cutting it, take a look at these road-tested tips from a few of our favorite fleets. 👀 https://hubs.li/Q02WnYYV0
