Bling and Brilliance at Special Olympics Fall Classic Competition 🥇🥈🥉 The Flower Mound Special Olympics team I coach strutted its stuff last week at the TX State competition. Brought home lots of bling 🥇🥈🥉.  Midland-Odessa was buzzing with thousands of Special Olympics athletes for the 3-day event. Bocce alone had almost 300 competitions for singles and unified doubles – lots of rolling and fun. HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY !! 🎇🥳 On July 4th, we celebrate our nation’s Day of Independence - a time to reflect on the fundamental rights and freedoms that continue to make the USA unique. Amazingly, in 2026, just two years from now, the U.S.A. will celebrate 250 years of Independence! 🥳 Even more remarkable is 2076 will mark 300 years of U.S.A. Independence!! I was fortunate enough enjoy the awesome Parade of Ships at the U.S.A. Bicentennial but unless I invest in cryogenics now, it is quite likely I will miss that celebration 😊 As we celebrate our Independence Day, and all the festivities, take time to remember and honor the sacrifices made to secure these freedoms. NAPAC 2024 – Great Speakers, Presentations and Industry Friends 👍 I am always blown away by the amazing speakers at the North American Petroleum Accounting Conference. With 23 different industry-related, great topics, it was a challenge just trying to decide which sessions to attend! Plus, with almost 600 attendees, there is always someone new to meet.  As a member of the NAPAC Committee, it is great to say "That's a Wrap, 🥳" although this is only a temporary reprieve. Planning for the 2025 event kicks off again in August. 23 years with AMS-PAR - and still here! 👍 I am amazed to be celebrating my 23rd year working at AMS-PAR, a company that has been servicing the energy industry for 40 years.🥳 You might be thinking – “Wow, did she start working there when she was a teenager (🙊), young adult (🤔), mid 20’s (🚫), or when ?” Thanks for the compliment but, no, I was just minimally more mature than that. It was 2001, a year of worldly transitions – the Y2K scare was still fresh and I was in awe of the first iPod – over 1,000 songs at my fingertips! It’s been an incredible journey with AMS-PAR, which remains one of the largest in its peer group. I am proud to have been part of developing audit processes and tools that are second to none! Throughout it all, I've had the support of an incredible team. We share a passion for continued learning and development and laugh at my jokes (or at least pretend to 😁). Whether we are auditing a joint venture, a supplier, an acquisition, or simply providing guidance, we consider ourselves part of the AMS-PAR team and part of YOUR team. The only question now is, what is the betting line for 2025? Will I be here in 2025 and turn 25 years old (for the 2nd+ time)?
