At AMS Renewable Energy, we’re well-versed in the unique challenges of constructing solar farms in Upstate New York’s winter weather. The season brings snow, ice, and freezing temperatures that require careful planning and a focus on the safety of our team. Some of the strategies we implement include: ❄️ Snow Clearing and Site Prep: Before construction begins, we assess the site and remove snow build-up, ensuring the ground is stable for machinery and that work areas remain accessible. 🚜 Use of Cold-Weather Equipment: We deploy equipment designed for low temperatures, ensuring it operates efficiently despite freezing conditions. 🦺 Regular Safety Briefings: With slippery surfaces and shorter days, we hold frequent safety meetings to address specific risks, from icy walkways to proper layering for cold temperatures. 🌡️ Temperature Monitoring: We monitor both air and ground temperatures closely to ensure that materials are handled correctly and that the safety of workers is prioritized during cold spells. 👷 PPE Adaptations: We make sure all crew members have proper cold-weather personal protective equipment (PPE), including insulated gloves, footwear with traction, and winter-specific gear to reduce the risk of frostbite and hypothermia. Despite these challenges, we’re committed to staying on schedule and maintaining safety while building renewable energy infrastructure. #SolarEPC #SolarDevelopment #WinterConstruction #SafetyFirst #RenewableEnergy #CleanEnergy

🔸 Long-Lasting Protection SiO2 forms a strong, durable barrier on your car's paintwork, protecting it from environmental contaminants such as dirt, road salt, bird droppings, tree sap, and harsh UV rays. This shield lasts significantly longer than traditional waxes or sealants. 🔸Hydrophobic Properties One of the standout features of SiO2 coatings is their extreme water repellency. The hydrophobic layer causes water to bead up and roll off the surface, taking dirt and grime with it. This makes your car easier to clean and helps keep it cleaner for longer. 🔸Enhanced Gloss and Shine SiO2 coatings give your car a deep, reflective shine, making the paint look richer and more vibrant. The coating enhances the clarity and depth of your car's paint, providing that "showroom finish" that car enthusiasts love. 🔸UV Protection Exposure to the sun's UV rays can cause paint to fade and oxidize over time. SiO2 coatings protect the paint from UV damage, keeping your car looking newer for longer and preserving the original paint color. 🔸Scratch Resistance While not completely scratch-proof, SiO2 coatings add a layer of protection against minor scratches and swirl marks caused by regular washing and environmental factors. 🔸Chemical Resistance SiO2 coatings provide a barrier against acidic and alkaline contaminants, such as those found in bird droppings or harsh road chemicals, minimizing potential damage to your car's surface. 🔸Easy Maintenance The slick surface created by SiO2 makes washing and drying your car much easier. Dirt, grime, and water spots have a harder time sticking to the coated surface, saving you time and effort when cleaning.

Professionals armed with an EUSR card understand the critical importance of preventing contaminants from infiltrating the pipeline. They employ various techniques, including chlorine spray and ground sheets, to shield tools and equipment from mud and organic materials. However, let’s focus on a specific aspect: the choice of ground sheets. While plastic groundsheets are commonly used, they present environmental challenges. That’s where our commissioning company steps in with a more sustainable solution: reusable dimpled protection mats. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘀 Ro𝗯𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗪𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲: These mats are built to withstand the rigors of commissioning work. They won’t break, crack, or delaminate under pressure. Because these dimples allow water and debris to drain away from the equipment, keeping it clean and functional. 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲: Our engineers carry these mats effortlessly. This is the type of Project where we are at our best.
Every now-and-then it’s worth a look back at past assignments, to help identify future projects, so we can keep pushing forward. Much of our work addresses a ‘problem’ faced by a manufacturer. In this case, the safe and efficient disposal of old carpets and surplus carpet material is an environmental problem for the UK carpet industry. Approximately 500,000 tonnes of end-of-life carpet are produced in the UK every year. The majority is currently either burnt for energy or sent to landfill. If sent to a landfill site, the synthetic materials used in carpets can take thousands of years to decompose and contributes significantly to global warming. Our customer is a UK based manufacturer of recycled polypropylene, which can be extracted from end-of-life carpet. They have created a process that provides a more sustainable solution. It handles 12 tonnes of carpet material a day now and produces reclaimed polypropylene fibre and pellets for use in a wide range of products and manufacturing industries. Vogal Group managed the project, removed old systems from the building, reconditioned the building interior including fitting a fully compliant electrical installation (new transformers, extractor units, distribution boards and lighting) and machinery relocation and installation. As this was a new process for the UK, we worked closely with international suppliers to source the new machinery before we installed them. The Vogal Group team also installed compressed air, chilled water and domestic hot water pipework. The time-lapse video below shows the interior from start to finish. For more information about what we do, please contact us. We’re keen to see if we can help with your project. #mechanicalengineering #electricalengineering #projectmanagement #manufacturing #engineeringprojects
