Many food processing applications benefit from the use of a defoamer and some are outright dependent upon foam control or they will cease to function or produce inferior products. In our featured video, you’ll see an array of foodstuffs and processes that rely upon food-grade antifoams and defoamers. Let AMS assist with your foam control needs! When it comes to food processing, release is one of the most important properties of a coating’s performance, but it isn’t the only thing required. Low coefficient of friction and high abrasion resistance are just as valuable. Teflon’s 420G line is the secret recipe for success of a number of food processing equipment. #americandurafilm #teflontuesday #teflon #foodprocessing #tuesday

Still Shocked by the Green Bacon? Some time ago, we purchased several packs of sliced sausages and perforated them with a laser to create various leak rates multiple times. We then analyzed these packs for oxygen increasement over a period of time. The results were shocking. Even with a leak rate of 0.04 mbar*l/s, the pack reached ambient oxygen levels within 15 days. Of course, this can’t be directly compared to the bacon, as the packaging volume here is significantly larger than a sliced sausage pack. However, the leak rate of my bacon pack was also 25 times larger. These findings underscore the critical importance of reliable leak detection in food packaging to ensure product quality and safety over time. Our innovative solutions at Inficon help you stay ahead of such challenges. Feel free to reach out if you want to learn more about how we can help you safeguard your products! #LeakDetection #FoodPackaging #QualityControl #Inficon #Innovation

We're not saying its a good thing, but according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics - Australians are eating less fruit and veg and more chips, chicken nuggets and chocolate. With chicken dishes like nuggets increasing by 2.6 per cent from last year, increased demand requires the right vertical form fill seal machine to meet that demand. If you're after industry 4.0 continuous motion #VFFS packaging technology, designed to be flexible, robust, smart and deliver the highest production per m²- you need to chat to the Select Flexible team about PurPak and what could be achieved for your production. #poultry #chicken #verticalformfillsealmachine

🚩The best way to thaw meat depends on how much time you have and the size of the meat. Here are three effective methods: 🔆Refrigerator Thawing: Place the meat in the refrigerator. This is the safest method as it keeps the meat at a safe, consistent temperature. It can take several hours to days, depending on the size and thickness of the meat. 🔆Cold Water Thawing: Place the meat in a sealed plastic bag and submerge it in cold water. Change the water every 30 minutes to keep it cold. This method is faster than refrigerator thawing but still safe if done properly. It usually takes a few hours. 🔆Microwave Thawing: Use the defrost setting on your microwave. This is the quickest method but can cause uneven thawing or partial cooking if not done carefully. It's best for small pieces of meat that will be cooked immediately after thawing. ⚕️Avoid thawing meat at room temperature, as this can lead to bacterial growth and foodborne illness. #foodsafety

Cold plasma technology in food processing is an innovative, non-thermal method used to decontaminate, preserve, and enhance food safety without altering the food's natural qualities. Plasma is considered the fourth state of matter, consisting of a mix of charged particles, including ions, electrons, and neutral atoms. Cold plasma is created at near-room temperature, making it suitable for treating heat-sensitive foods like fresh produce, meats, and seafood. https://lnkd.in/dQA982ec #Kerone #Coldplasma #Sterilisation #foodprocessing

𝐀𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐲 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐦𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐲 𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐬? It's a common challenge in the industry: traditional depositors often drip or splash, leaving sauce residue on the edges of your trays. This not only requires people to clean the trays but also complicates the vacuum sealing process. With FoodJet depositors, however, you can say goodbye to these issues. Our advanced technology ensures precise and drip-free sauce application, keeping tray edges clean and making vacuum sealing less of a problem. This means: no extra hands are needed to clean the tray edges, and less waste produced. Don't let messy depositing systems hold your productivity back. #foodtech #foodinnovation #depositingsolutions #readymeal

#DidYouKnow Foods can be preserved for extended periods by canning them and sealing them in airtight jars and cans. The late 18th century saw the development of canning as a means of giving sailors and soldiers a reliable supply of food during times of conflict. Each product will require a somewhat different canning procedure, but there are three basic phases. - Processing may include slicing, pitting, or cooking. - Sealing of cans is done to close off the processed food. - Heating of cans is carried out to eradicate dangerous microorganisms and prevent spoilage. This makes food safe to eat for up to three years on the shelf. Fruits, vegetables, beans, soups, meats, and seafood are among the common foods that are canned. The food is heated to a safe temperature during the canning process, which kills the bacteria that may be present in the process and creates a vacuum. This produces an environment that makes it very unlikely for dangerous bacteria to proliferate unless the cans get damaged. #MicroMondays
