“Hey you! Yeah you! What do you bring to the table?” That was the main question that brought such a rich and diverse company and community together yesterday at The Future of Tech = AI for Impact by Future Ventures in collaboration with LUMO Labs & Google Cloud organized by Kimberly Ofori. FYI. Read table as tech AI ecosystem. So not just any table! Hmm, good question, what value do I actually add to this tech AI ecosystem? This is what I answered without any hesitation because this is what I am passionate about: “I am bringing a large public-private network with me of the Nederlandse AI Coalitie | NL AIC, Npuls, Edu-V and MBO Raad from an educational point of view and looking for possible collaboration to connect entrepreneurs in EdTech with educational professionals, teachers and students.” With only a few universities (great meeting Parul Benien in person) no universities of applied sciences or vocational education participants I felt like I was an endangered species in the lion’s den.Turned out that it was not such a bad thing at all, since I spoke with dozens of founders that were all motivated to create societal and educational impact and were interested in collaborating with Nederlandse AI Coalitie | NL AIC, Npuls and #mbo. In the first panel discussion Sabine Schoorl MBA 🏳️🌈 from LUMO Labs and Anouk Muis from Google Cloud discussed an interesting question that is also important in large scale digital transformation educational programs I work with such as Edu-V and Npuls: How do you measure societal and educational impact for your AI-driven startup and stakeholders? By measuring learning outcomes and using the theory of change: ask yourself will it disrupt tomorrow or the day after? In the second panel with Anastasia Kuskova from Sirius & Bengyella Gwanmesia from Batazia language AI for the African continent about building for impact with AI, felt kind of tricked in giving so much juicy information away in front of Google 😂. Secret formula: Understanding is everything, connect and make magic = synergy. In the workshop by Johnny (Google) about responsible AI ethics I learnt three theories used for responsible innovation: 1️⃣Consequentialist ethics 2️⃣Duty-based ethics 3️⃣Virtue ethics impact on people’s life How can you embed ethical (AI) values in organizations? 💡”Promoting ethics principles best done by champions close to the top instead of hierarchical work cultures since only one person in that chain can actually ruin everything!”🤭 yep, noted! That’s all for now folks. Loved the whole vibe, energy and knowledge sharing. Thank you Kimberly Ofori for having me. Keep rocking it! PS. Vet colleges and universities of applied sciences. #mbo en #hbo Don’t be shy. You are so wanted by startups and scaleups that are looking for creating more societal and educational impact. If you are interested in magical synergy, comment below with SYNERGY and I will connect you for powerful social innovation on this blessed Thursday!
