🤝 [#Corporate] | Amundi and Victory Capital sign a definitive agreement to become strategic partners.   The agreement is in line with the Memorandum of Understanding announced on April 16, 2024: 🔹 Amundi US will be combined with Victory Capital 🔹 Amundi will become a strategic shareholder of Victory Capital with a 26.1% economic stake in Victory Capital 🔹 Both parties have entered into 15-year #distribution and #services agreements, which will be effective upon the closing of the transaction   Under these distribution and services agreements, Amundi will be the #distributor of Victory Capital’s US-manufactured active asset management products outside of the #US. Additionally, Amundi will become the supplier of non-US manufactured products for Victory’s distribution in the US. 

Amundi announces today the signature of a Memorandum of Understanding to establish a strategic partnership with Victory Capital, a #US based asset manager.   This transaction would allow Amundi’s clients to have access to a larger US investment platform of around $280 billion, and to a broader range of US expertise, top performing strategies and solutions. It would also allow Amundi to benefit from expanded distribution in the US. Germany's EUR 14 billion+ AUM infrastructure fund manager Aquila Capital has built a leading investment platform appreciated by limited partners and stakeholders across Europe, with a focus on clean energy and sustainability. It is interesting to see German banks getting back into fund management with Commerzbank AG's acquisition of Aquila Capital. I was under the impression German banks have been off-loading assets and "non-core" businesses since the GFC.
