🚚Supply Chain LDA at STERIS 📈Enabling Supply Chain Continuous Improvements Through Data-Driven Analytics
Thoughts ⁉⁉⁉ Just read a research paper for one of my supply chain classes. In short, the researchers looked into 21 business schools listed in the top 50 MBA programs in the United States and found that there is an undersupply of process-oriented topics (such as forecasting 📈 ), and an oversupply of strategy-oriented topics (such as supply chain design 🌐 ). I understand both of them are important, so I want to when it comes to select a 👩🎓 Master Supply Chain program: 1) 🤔 What are the important things to consider? 2) 🤖 How to know if what we learn is future-proof? 3) 🏫 What schools I should look into? 4) 💹 What can I do to maximize the value of my Master degree? 🙋♂️ 🙋♀️ DM me if you have any thoughts!

#TheManufacturingAmbassador |IndustrialMARK | RevOpps Agency| Focused on The Engineer Buyer | Founder industrial Marketing | Co-Founder Industrial Sonar | How AI is changing Industrial Buyer Behaviour
Today is Friday May 17, 2024 This is Mark Manuel aka The Manufacturing Ambassador Today I am attending the SCM Capstone Symposiun 2024 Massachusetts Institute of Technology . this Symposium provides a unique overview of of Supply Chain Research Projects conducted by MIT SCM Graduate Students working in partnership with Project-Sponsor companies showcasing future-forward research on a range of supply chain and operations areas including Sustainability,Inventory Management,Transportation, Data Analytics, Risk Management, Supply Chain Strategy and more. People often ask me why I invest so much of my time in areas not directly related to sales and marketing— but in order to be successful today, I believe you really need to understand the various buyers involved in a very technical sale, a long sales cycle , and a finite number of potential customers Too many manufacturers “Rush” into spending money on some tactic. ie website or blogs or videos with no understanding of the “jobs to be done” I know how to use Google and Amazon— in fact I would consider myself an expert but I am a consumer and will never buy from a manufacturing company Don’t think like yourself— be the engineer buyer. I always advise my clients to invest time with their clients and do deeper research as to why people buy from them—Who is involved—BEFORE spending money on some marketing tactics #IndustrialMARK #TheManufacturingAmbassador

Data Analyst | Business Research, Statistics, Mathematical Modeling | MSc Operations and Supply Chain Management
🎓 Exciting Update: I'm thrilled to announce the successful completion of my Capstone project in the MS in Operations and Supply Chain Management program, achieving a high grade of 80/100!" 📝 My dissertation focused on "Competitive Advantage through Socially Responsible Operations Strategy" with a specific target on Azerbaijani SMEs. The aim was to explore the effectiveness of this strategy in environments with low to middle income and a lack of sustainability awareness. 📊 Utilising Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM), a quantitative method, I collected data from 413 participants to test thirteen hypotheses and validate the model. 🔍 The findings of my research suggest that while Socially Responsible Operations Strategy shows promise, it may not be a robust tool for achieving competitive advantage in all contexts. 🙏 I would like to express my sincere gratitude to my supervisor, Dr Jiang Pan , for their invaluable guidance and support throughout this journey. Also, a special thanks to our module leader, Dr Rong Huang , for their insightful contributions and mentorship. Deeply thankful to Plymouth Business School, University of Plymouth for providing the opportunity, facilities, and invaluable resources that have contributed to my academic journey and success. I am excited to continue exploring the intersection of operations management/strategy and social responsibility, and I look forward to applying these learnings in my future endeavours. #MSc #CapstoneProject #Research #MarketResearch #OperationsManagement #SupplyChain #CompetitveStrategy #SocialResponsibility #ThankYou

🌟 Harvard Business School I Certificate of Excellence! 🌟 I am thrilled to share that I have been awarded the Certificate of Excellence for Outstanding Performance in the Global Supply Chain Management Exercise by Harvard Business School. This recognition is not just a testament to our team’s hard work but also an incredible learning experience that has significantly enriched my professional journey. Participating in this intensive masterclass has deepened my understanding of managing uncertainties, strategic planning, and optimizing supply chain processes. The lessons learned have equipped me with valuable insights into making informed decisions, handling high-uncertainty environments, and balancing cost with flexibility in global supply chains. A key aspect of this success was leveraging the skills acquired in the Quantitative Analysis class and utilizing R code as a critical tool. This combination was instrumental in analyzing our data and driving our strategic decisions. Huge thanks to Professor Jan Hammond and my amazing teammates Martha Choat, CPA, and Akin Akinduro. This experience has truly been transformative, and I am excited to apply these newfound skills to drive excellence in my career. #SupplyChainManagement #ProfessionalGrowth #HarvardBusinessSchool #CertificateOfExcellence #ContinuousLearning #GlobalSupplyChain #QuantitativeAnalysis #RCode

🚀 Diving Headfirst into the Supply Chain Abyss 🚀 Who knew that jumping from a non-supply chain background into Columbia Business School's Supply Chain Management course would be akin to learning a new language? One filled with terms like "inventory management" and "logistics" – and not the kind where you’re just managing to find your car keys. Led by Professor Will Ma (https://lnkd.in/ejdrmiCx), this course was my gateway into a world where stocking apples in a grocery store is more complex than a season finale of a TV drama. From tackling case studies that made Amazon’s logistics look like child's play to simulation games that had me on the edge of my seat more than any thriller could, it's been a wild ride. Speaking of games, shoutout to my dynamic duo, Jenn and Abhay. We channelled our inner retail moguls and clinched the award in the Retail Pricing Game. Who knew pricing could be an extreme sport? Then came Glenn A. Steinberg, the Yoda of supply chain management. With his tales of global supply chain heroics and a career that makes my LinkedIn page look like a rookie's, Glenn A. Steinberg turned a lecture on resilience and sustainability into a masterclass on how to save the world one supply chain at a time. His advice? Be resilient, sustainable, and maybe learn how to manage a crisis or two. In all seriousness, this course was a revelation. It showed me that supply chains are the unsung heroes of our daily lives, making sure our toilet paper rolls and semiconductors arrive just in time. A big shoutout to Professor Ma, Glenn A. Steinberg, and every guest speaker who dared us to think outside the box (literally). For anyone sitting on the fence about this elective, leap off – it’s worth it. As for me, I’m ready to roll up my sleeves and dive into the supply chain world, armed with insights, humor, and a newfound appreciation for logistics wizards everywhere. Here's to conquering the supply chain universe, one strategic move at a time! 🌎✨ #SupplyChainMagic #ColumbiaBusinessSchool #FromCluelessToCluedIn #GlennSteinbergForPresident #RetailPricingChamps #SupplyChainManagement #LifelongLearning #Innovation #Resilience #Sustainability

This month I have started my 2nd adjunct professor post, I am teaching Supply Chain Management at FAU College of Business in the executive masters degree program. It is very exciting to be invited to teach in the institution where I earned my Ph.D. degree. Supply chain management is a board level topic and recent years have showed us the need for additional education in this area. Even with decades of experience we all get caught in the complexity and unforeseen disruptions in todays business landscape. It is very exciting to teach what I specialize in professionally. In this class we will tackle topics such as evolution of global trade, supply chain strategy, what is supply chain management, information sharing, AI technology transformation, lean manufacturing, disruption, inventory and forecasting, risk management, de minimis cross boarder trade, and sustainability. Each of these modules can be a total class in itself. #faucollegeof business; #fau; #globaltrade; #supplychain; #disruption
