What in the world is "high volume" when it comes to hiring? Honestly y'all it depends. (I know - my evergreen answer for all things recruiting lol) There are so many layers to this - each industry, organization, etc is going to have their own perspectives on this. Heck even things like geography (hello tourist season!) can impact seasonal hiring. I'm going to dig into this more in the coming weeks, including some of my own learnings as I am scaling up high volume hiring. Learn from my pain y'all. Oh and if you think "high volume = low quality" you should maybe put yourself in a timeout and let the professionals handle this one. 🙄 #Recruiting #HighVolumeHiring #Staffing #HiringAtScale https://lnkd.in/gSBV3jED

High Volume in Agency/Niche Hiring= 50+ annually High Volume in Corporate= 200+ hires annually

I have had high volume at 35 reqs and high volume at 75 reqs. Honestly I think it's less about volume and more about how many reqs you can afford to directly source v.s. active candidates and moving them through the process.

I’m glad I have done more niche and higher volume. Good to experience both from the recruiting side of things

High volume is not when you fill 20-200 reqs per year guys.... high volume is when you fill 25+ openings every single week.... There is typically 0 search involved and you literally dial candidates back-to-back, for 8-12 hours per day. Filling 20-200 per year would be mid/high/niche level hiring, and while that may be strong activity, it's not "high volume" recruitment.

Ya know what's really fun??? 20x hyper-scale!! High volume of niche roles. Hundreds of "KEY" critical, first ever hire, function builder type roles all at once. Lol that's a unique skillset. That shi* will level the strongest of folks...

It absolutely depends on the companies structure and output for sure! In retail it means hiring a lot of entry level at a fast rate for a short time or long time. For start ups, it can mean for scaling and keeping up with demand and be a variety of roles and levels. Thanks Ames. ❤️

I personally know a recruiter that put over 750 people on a production floor in one year. We spoke, and It was not for me. #markedsafefromhighvolumerecruiting
