People change jobs every 4.2 years on average. That means most freelancers will lose a primary client contact at some point, especially if they're a long-term client. This can often work out in your favor - especially when your first contact takes you with them to their new role. But sometimes it's a harder change to navigate. Maybe your personality doesn't vibe with the new contact's. Or they already have a freelancer they prefer to work with.
