As healthcare costs rise and people seek more convenient care, we're seeing a shift in expectations. Technology and data are leading a healthcare revolution, aiming to increase access, boost engagement, and spark innovation. This can lead to better health outcomes and cost savings, especially for employers providing health insurance. A recent report by Cigna shared predictions on six key trends that will shape 2024. The two that stand out in the healthcare industry: 1. 🚀 The rise of virtual and hybrid care models. As healthcare becomes more accessible through technology, patients are expecting a mix of in-person, at-home, and remote monitoring options. This shift not only caters to the need for convenience but also opens doors for innovative care delivery methods. 2. 🧠 Focus on mental health. There's a growing recognition of the importance of mental health alongside physical health, especially in workplace settings. Employers are now investing more in comprehensive health plans, integrating behavioral health care to support their employees' overall well-being. The future of health care is value-focused. The question is when and how. Any movement toward a patient-centric model of care is going to need to focus on two key areas: 1. Better outcomes for the patients, which will ultimately contain cost, and 2. Higher Per-Patient Yield for the provider, which will provide the incentive to move away from a profitable but wasteful fee-for-service model. #healthcareinnovation #healthcare #valuebasedcare #valuebasedhealthcare #vbc #managedcare #employeehealth #employeebenefits #payor #providercredentialing #providercontracting #providerrecruitment #providers #directprimarycare #cigna #cignahealthcare #evernorth #evernorthaccountablecare #WeAreTheCignaGroup #StrongerTogether #zulahealth #healthininsurance #healthcare #managedcare #coordinatedcare #alternativepaymentmodels #insurance #revenuecycle #healthcarenew #ACO #VBC https://lnkd.in/gkE4tpfQ

🚨 Healthcare providers are facing increasing challenges due to commercial health insurers. 🚨 🔍 A staggering 95% of hospitals report a rise in staff time spent on prior authorization, while 84% are seeing growing costs to comply with insurer policies. Shockingly, 0% report a decrease in these costs. 🚫 What’s more, 62% of prior authorization denials and 50% of initial claims denials are overturned upon appeal, showing that much of this burden is unnecessary. 📉 Unfortunately, the situation is only getting worse, with 78% of hospitals and health systems reporting a decline in their experience with commercial insurers. 🏥 It's time to fix these issues and alleviate the burden on healthcare providers. Ni2 Health is here to help streamline processes, reduce unnecessary delays, and ensure providers get the payments they deserve. #Healthcare #HealthInsurance #PatientCare #HealthcareInnovation #Ni2Health
