We pride ourselves on ‘using digital to make the analog world better’, whether that’s for our team, our clients and the work we create together, or the impact this work has on wider society. Our focus has always been on delivering societal impact and more recently, how we elevate our environmental business strategy. This is why we’re very happy to share that we’re now externally accredited EcoVadis who have rated us across four key areas: environmental impact, labour & human rights standards, ethics and sustainable procurement. After this extensive process, we have been awarded a bronze badge with an overall score of 57/100 which is categorised as ‘Good’. We are also ranked in the 64th percentile which means our score is higher than, or equal to, 64% of businesses assessed. This is a big step in our journey and we look to build on this momentum. There’s more we want to do and in true AnalogFolk Group (AFG) style, we’ll do it with a creative approach and 100% commitment. #ecovadis #ESG #Sustainability #SustainableBusiness

It's always a good feeling to receive external validation. It's even better when that good feeling comes from 'doing good'. Last month, AnalogFolk Group (AFG) received a scorecard at the end of an extensive EcoVadis assessment process which examined our environmental impact, labour & human rights standards, ethics and procurement practices (outcome in post below). I was a part of this process and not only has it helped highlight where we need to focus our attention going forward, it's also been an opportunity to take a step back and appreciate the difference we've made. I feel grateful working across a business of like-minded people who take action and don't just speak of it. A business that's not afraid of change and tackling the bigger issues that really matter. I've previously had times when I felt like one person or a single business couldn't make that much of a difference, but this has reminded me that we do have the ability to impact those around us in everything we do, big or small. Here's some highlights that I've been appreciating from the last few years: our BigUp.AI app - giving women the tools and language for self-promotion; The Truth, Undressed platform - accessible intimate health care and education; the Still Present gender equality campaign; launching the content production company Untold Fable with DEI at its core; training all employees on allyship and anti-racism; launching both menopause and period policies; setting targets to drive female creative and female leadership representation, as well as ethnic minority representation at a leadership level within the business. The list goes on and the effect is tangible. Thanks to AFG for always stepping out, challenging the status quo and leading the way. And thanks to Tricia Weener and James Fenner at TheESGBusiness | Sustainability Business Services for their expertise, guidance and continued support as we look at how we continue to build momentum and deliver environmental impact.

ESG reporting evaluates a company's environmental, social, and governance impacts, guiding stakeholders in understanding its sustainability practices. Key components include carbon footprint, resource use, labor practices, diversity, ethics, and transparency. ESG reports help companies align with global sustainability standards and investor expectations. *Comparative assessment of Sony and Panasonic: Sony focuses on climate action with targets for achieving carbon neutrality by 2040, reducing plastic use, and fostering diversity and inclusion. Their "Road to Zero" plan outlines comprehensive environmental goals. Panasonic emphasizes carbon neutrality by 2030, with significant strides in green energy solutions and resource recycling. They also prioritize social welfare and supply chain sustainability. Both companies showcase strong governance frameworks, but Sony's initiatives lean more toward technological innovation in sustainability, while Panasonic emphasizes a holistic approach across its product lifecycle. While both Sony and Panasonic have ambitious ESG goals, Sony places a significant emphasis on renewable energy and circular economy initiatives. Panasonic, on the other hand, has a strong focus on achieving net-zero emissions and sustainable product development. Both companies are committed to diversity, community engagement, and ethical governance, but their approaches reflect their unique corporate cultures and market strategies. *This analysis is intended solely for educational and learning purposes and does not disclose or reveal any confidential information. #ESGReporting #GHGEmission #SustainabilityPractices #NetZero

Professor of Practice ☑️ Director, Strategic Communications Program ☑️ Corporate Sustainability & Communications advisor, mentor ☑️
When discussing sustainability, we don’t talk enough about the role of the amplifiers, global social media platforms. Anne Applebaum writes about “a broken information economy” in this piece. The Center for Humane Technology has collected a “ledger of harms” supported by peer-reviewed research. It really isn’t enough to shift from fossil fuels to clean energy for a better future. The discussion must involve aligning technology with society’s best interests. According to the mission of CHT: “We envision a world with technology that respects our attention, improves our well-being, and strengthens communities.” In my Sustainability PR course, we discuss the role technology plays in sustainability and the responsibility our communication industries and professionals have in this respect. #sustainability #technology #disinformation #misinformation https://lnkd.in/gJ5M65zN
