A New Week, A New Month: Reflecting on the Journey So Far As we we enter into a new week in a new month, I find myself taking a moment to pause and reflect on how much this year has been—both the challenges and the growth. This year has been a blend of highs and lows, but each moment has taught me something valuable: resilience, patience, and the importance of staying true to my goals. There were days I felt unstoppable, and others when self-doubt crept in. But through it all, I’ve learned to embrace progress over perfection. A Few Reflections: 🔹Growth often happens in the little, uncelebrated moments—the times we keep going even when it’s hard. 🔹Surrounding myself with supportive people and communities has made the journey more meaningful. 🔹Gratitude changes perspective—looking back, I see how far I’ve come, and that fuels my determination to keep pushing forward. WHAT MY SABBATICAL YEAR TAUGHT ME ABOUT LEADERSHIP, GROWTH AND IMPACT. Last year, I made a bold and unconventional choice: I took a sabbatical. After years in leadership roles, including my time as People Director for Chiesi’s Spanish affiliate, I paused from a career I loved. It wasn’t an easy decision—walking away from a career at its peak rarely is—but it was one of my life's most transformative choices. I am infinitely grateful to Chiesi Group for introducing a sabbatical policy, demonstrating a profound commitment to the well-being and growth of its employees. This sabbatical wasn’t about disconnecting—it was about reconnecting. I wanted to rediscover myself, my purpose, and the kind of leader I aspired to be. Along the way, I learned lessons about leadership, personal growth, balance, and the impact of co-creation and courage. If you’ve ever considered taking a pause—whether for a year, a month, or even a day—I encourage you to do it. Not to escape, but to expand. The rewards are transformative.
