I personally find videos like that really comforting from a psychological point of view and refreshing as far as the topic of Daily Routine is concerned. Your students of Elementary-Pre-Intermediate level will indulge into the atmosphere of 1950's, learn amazing vocabulary (ideally for girls), and discuss the routine from a different angle. Perfect for revising Present Simple! https://lnkd.in/dVqZRADH #eslmaterials #videoworksheet #presentsimple

This Movie Workbook is perfect for IT students as it features the story of Alan Turing and Enigma. The Workbook consists of 4 blocks: 1. Vocabulary Block, which is recommended to study before watching the movie. A mind map will help your students to analyze the vocabulary. There are tasks to put this vocabulary to practice (one task is personalized). This block can be used as a separate lesson plan. 2. Grammar: That's my students' favorite block because it boosts a profound discussion: Alan Turing and his team had to work in tough conditions, they had to make unbelievably difficult choices. That's why I've chosen modal verbs of obligation and recommendation "have to, must, and should" to help students express their opinion on this matter. First, they are supposed to learn and practise the rule in the IT sphere, and then they will be ready to discuss the movie. You can also use this block as a separate lesson plan. 3. Improving pronunciation. Alan Turing's dialogue about how machines think, if they think differently from humans seems the most impressive to me. Your students will be offered to practise shadowing (with teacher's notes). 4 Writing. I hope that THIS writing will be exciting for your students because the problems raised in the movie won't leave anyone indifferent. https://lnkd.in/dtiXC_fH #eslmaterials #english_for_it #movieworkbooks #theimitationgame #teacherspayteachers

The Internship ( IT sphere) Movie Workbook (2 hours) Hello! You are looking at the movie workbook based on a witty comedy The Internship. (Perfect for IT students) Related topics: IT, job interview, uplifting comedy It can be used: as a home task with further discussion during the lesson About the workbook: I believe the greatest challenge one may face watching this movie is the CONNECTED SPEECH. It’s not just fluent, but really fast. So the tasks in this workbook are made to help your students DEVELOP their EAR. For this purpose, it’s often recommended to watch a movie WITH SUBTITLES in English. Let me put it this way: I encapsulated the subtitles in the tasks. So, you can recommend your students read the sentences in the task first to understand what is going on and have a better chance of distinguishing the given piece of information in the movie. I’ve chosen the sentences that contain the JUICIEST VOCABULARY! Please, make your students feel free to use the quizlet set before watching an episode. Here is one of my recommendations on how to learn English vocabulary: please, motivate your students to filter the words and phrases according to whether or not THEY can USE them actively. If they feel those phrases are not relevant to the sphere where they use English, let this vocabulary remain in the passive vocabulary. Enjoy developing several aspects of English with movies! https://lnkd.in/dk3pYPMw #english_for_it #eslmaterials #theinternship #movieworkbooks #teacherspayteachers

This song worksheet is perfect for the esl learners B1-B2 who are in their 30s, as Miley reflects on her ageing and makes piece with her past. This song really hit me, so I carefully designed all the tasks for a great discussion. In the worksheet you will see a page devoted to "used to" construction ( free practice.) https://lnkd.in/dmeYFhhb #eslmaterials #teacherspayteachers #songworksheet
