Executive Producer at Wonderful Content

I am heartbroken after hearing of Marlo Baker’s passing. She was one of the funniest, wittiest, adventurous, and intelligent agency producer I have ever worked with. I will never forget when I was starting as a production coordinator for a Walmart commercial we were shooting in Mexico City and towards the end of the pre-production meeting she stopped the meeting to ask, “Who made the pre pro book?” I was a ball of nerves because the brand clients, our agency partners and my boss and director Massimo Martinotti were all there and I fearfully said “I did.” Expecting to have a typo or a huge mistake after many rushed last minute changes leading up to the meeting, and in front of everyone, she said, “This is the best pre-production book I have seen, there are no typos or mistakes and all the changes are already updated. Thank you Ana.” That meant the world to me. In a world when it is easier to criticize, she was generous in her praise when deserved, and she inspired me to be the same. It built my confidence and made me feel I was valued, essential, and this was the moment I felt that I belonged. I already miss her, and I always thought of her fondly. She was one of the best. Thank you Marlo. RIP. #thankyou
