Armenian National Committee of Canada’s Post

One Year Later: Standing in Solidarity with Artsakh September 19, 2024, marks the solemn one-year anniversary of Azerbaijan's genocidal aggression against the Republic of Artsakh. This brutal attack forcibly displaced over 120,000 indigenous Armenians from their ancestral homeland, causing unimaginable loss and suffering. Today, we remember the lives shattered by this atrocity and reaffirm our commitment to justice. The Armenian National Committee of Canada (ANCC) stands united with the people of Artsakh in their struggle for self-determination and the right to return to their homeland. This issue cannot be resolved until a comprehensive political solution is reached, one that guarantees the safety, dignity, and freedom of the Armenian people from continued aggression and oppression. We call for the immediate release of all Armenian political prisoners held illegally in Azerbaijan and an end to the destruction of Armenian cultural heritage in the region. These acts are a blatant violation of international law and must be condemned by the global community. As we commemorate this tragic anniversary, we urge the international community to take meaningful action to address the ongoing humanitarian crisis and stop Azerbaijan’s aggression. The fight for peace, justice, and dignity for Artsakh continues, and we will not cease our efforts until the fundamental human rights of its people are fully realized. Let us honor those lost and stand firm in our commitment to ensure a safer, more peaceful future for Artsakh. #StandWithArtsakh #ArtsakhStrong #JusticeForArtsakh #NeverForget #ANCC #IndigenousRights #HumanRights #CulturalHeritage #PeaceAndDignity
