Excited to moderate two panels at the Digital Workers Forum in Silicon Valley (Sunnyvale) tomorrow. The event looks at how AI creating autonomous "digital workers" and what that means for the future of work. With all of the powerful LLM capabilities being announced lately from OpenAI and others, there's a ton of material to process here. The first panel is at 10am and it will feature Nik Spirin (Dir of GenAI at NVIDIA, Sergey Edunov (Dir of Engineering, GenAI @Meta) , and Kevin Tsai (Engineering, Google), who are experts in the field of LLMs. We will discuss how tokens are the electricity of the GenAI era and how they enable new capabilities for large language models (LLMs). We'll also cover what this means for enterprise applications, a focus area for us at VentureBeat. We will also address some of the challenges and opportunities that arise from the increasing demand for tokens and data. The second panel is at 10:30am and it will include Elena L. (Google's AI Global Product Lead), Valeria Sadovykh (tech strategist from Micrsoft), and Boris Kisko, who represents a company, Mayweather Boxing + Fitness, that is piloting a project to replace receptionists and concierge staffers with fully digital workers. We will draw an analogy between the stages of the fully autonomous digital worker and the fully autonomous driving vehicles, and examine where we are with both.
