This week we were honoured to win Innovation - Small Business award at the 2024 NSW Geospatial Council of Australia Excellence Awards in conjunction with our partners Main Roads Western Australia for our Enhancing Road Safety Through #AiRAP and #LiDAR project. This project involved using our world-leading RoadViewer technology to conduct an AiRAP road safety assessment and extract assets across MRWA's 20,000km network. RoadViewer has transformed how iRAP road safety assessments can be completed through the use of applying AI/ML techniques to remote sensing data such as LiDAR and imagery. Applying AiRAP across such a large network was a true global first, and successfully demonstrated the viability and accuracy of AiRAP. We want to give a special mention to our partners and supporters who helped us to develop and refine the AiRAP methodology during this project, particularly Matt Chapman, Fritha Argus and Glyn Mattock from Main Roads Western Australia, Rob McInerney from iRAP, and Keith Simmons from Austroads. We also want to recognise the Anditi project team of Peter Jamieson, Michael Webb, Kaushik Mahata, Md Mashud Hyder, Irene Wanady, Jake Kinkade, Ivan Kljajic, Yuji Ishikawa, Damir Brizar, Bohan Chambers, Jane Kennedy, Javier Arriguetti, and Gareth Evans for their work in making this project such a success. We're looking forward to continuing to roll out AiRAP globally and doing our part in making roads safer around the world. #roadsafety #AI #LiDAR #iRAP #AiRAP #innovation

Our engineers and staff not only dedicate themselves to advancing world-class technology in Spatial Technology, but also cultivating a vibrant office environment. Yesterday, we delighted in a diverse multicultural culinary experience, featuring Australian favourites such as Vegemite & Devon sandwiches paired with Cottees cordial, homemade Salami crostini, and Japanese-inspired pasta. Additionally, we enjoyed lamb and gravy rolls, matcha cookies, Butter Chicken, Idada, Martabak Kentang Wortel (Indonesian), Panna Cotta, and of course, the unforgettable Opal Miners Smoko. #anditi #multiculturalism #workplaceenvironment

At Anditi we are proud of the fact that all our analysis and QA is conducted in-house, leading to our reputation as a breeding ground for developing emerging talent in the Australian geospatial sector. Our Data Controllers work with our Algorithm Developers, Software Engineers, and Program Managers in areas such as GIS, data training, and point cloud editing, providing valuable input towards algorithm refinement and successful project completion. Typically our Data Controllers are later-year students from the University of Newcastle and the training and real-world application of their academic skills that they gain at Anditi has helped many of these students to progress to full-time roles in companies such as Aurecon, Cordel, and Glencore following their graduation. This week we’d like to welcome Ryan Barlow who is the first person that we have employed through the #CSIRO Generation STEM Links Program which provides high-quality internships to help students gain workplace skills and transition into #STEM jobs after graduation. We’re very excited to have Ryan join our Data Controller team and we’d like to thank Madeleine Thoms from CSIRO for coordinating this placement for us. We were very proud to have our Managing Director Peter Jamieson present to the delegation from South Asia Regional Infrastructure Connectivity (SARIC) at an Industry Networking Lunch on the final day of their 2 week Road Safety Management Training program, hosted by the Centre for Automotive Safety Research (CASR) at the University of Adelaide. Peter outlined how Anditi is using #AI to map road corridors and improve road safety by conducting iRAP Star Rating assessments through our RoadViewer software. SARIC is supported by Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

We applaud the increased investment towards improving local road safety and infrastructure by the Federal Government. Our work with iRAP has taught us that the cost of road trauma far outweighs the cost of road investment so this type of investment makes financial sense as well as helping more people to get home safely. For any council who would like to learn how Anditi can use mobile LiDAR and imagery data to help maximise your road corridor investment in areas such as asset management and AiRAP assessments, please get in touch. https://lnkd.in/gBpKNQPH
