The Power of Complimentary Gifts: A Small Gesture, A Big Impact Never underestimate the allure of complimentary offerings, whether small or insignificant. People are naturally drawn to freebies, which can be a powerful tool for enhancing customer experience and boosting sales. This strategy led to an additional revenue of 30K pounds for one of our clients. The Challenge: Our client, a provider of customizable consumer goods for babies and children, sought to enhance its product page. Our analysis revealed that the free gift box option was disclosed to customers only at the final stage, just before checkout. Our Solution: We believed that showcasing a free item would motivate users to proceed with their purchase. We used an image of a real gift box to make the gift box strip more noticeable. The Outcome: The results were encouraging. We observed a 3% uplift in conversion rates. Users were motivated by the free Gift box on the Product Detail Page (PDP), especially when it was positioned below the product price. This case study underscores the impact of small gestures on customer behavior and conversion rates. It’s not just about what you sell, but also about how you make your customers feel.
