As a business owner and mom, it can be tough to balance it all during the summer season. But, here are my top 5 ways to not just survive, but absolutely ROCK this summer: 1. Establish a Daily Routine: Consistency is key when it comes to managing multiple responsibilities. Create a schedule that works for you and your family, and stick to it! This will help you stay organized and on top of things. 2. Set Daily Goals: Along with a routine, having a clear plan for each day can help you stay on track and feel accomplished. Whether it's a work goal or a fun family outing, having something to strive for can keep you motivated. 3. Schedule Ahead: Take some time to plan out your weeks in advance. Block off certain days or hours for important tasks, and make sure to prioritize family time as well. This way, you can avoid feeling overwhelmed and have more control over your schedule. 4. Keep Dinners Simple: Don't stress yourself out trying to come up with elaborate meals. Stick to simple and delicious options, such as one-pot dishes or quick and easy recipes. Your family will appreciate a delicious dinner without all the extra effort. 5. Make Time for Fun: Don't forget to prioritize some fun and relaxation in your schedule! Whether it's a day at the park with the kids or a night out with friends, make time for activities that bring you joy and help you recharge. Why is Restaurant Week frequently in September? Because we're too busy to eat after Labor Day. I feel an energy shift in my coaching conversations every fall: ☀ As People get back from summer vacation. 🥅 Kids start school and the activity schedule is packed. 🏃♀️ Work is a sprint to the end of the year. We flip from a meandering summer pace to frantic, anxious, and overwhelmed. I've been feeling it too - September is a whirlwind: +Juggling a busy travel schedule with my 'regular work' +Wondering how I'll see the sun as the Northeast heads into winter +Saying goodbye to my 'summer friends' +Wrestling with an upcoming milestone birthday +Counting down the last 100 days of the year This is the season of *too much to do* and *not enough time.* I wish I could share a secret tip for how to get through it without the anxiety, but I struggle too. My best approach - ***make some space to be present in the moment.*** Pause. Breathe. Notice. I led a 90-minute workshop on being present in the present last week, because I needed the reminder, too. If your season is feeling frantic and you want to push pause - we have a few longer retreats coming up this fall. Drop me a DM and I'll share more!

CHECKING IN ON NEW YEAR RESOLUTIONS…🤔 As I rang in year 2024, I made the following new year resolutions: 🚀Eat less meat 🚀Get 10k steps at least once a week 🚀Be aware of my posture Halfway into 2024, i’m pretty happy about the results🤘However, I realize most progress has been made during office time😳 At work: 💪I’m eating less meat by having a big vegetarian lunch at work 💪I book my colleagues for walk’n & talk, and we’ve also started a running club 💪I’ve exchanged my office chair with a “swopper”, which does wonders for my posture At home, it’s a different story🙄 The usual easy-to-fix dinners contain meat. Wallking is restricted to the playground, and you find yourself in many awkward positions trying to brush a defensive baby’s teeth🥴 There’s still plenty to focus on when it comes to new year resolutions…✌️ How are you doing with your resolutions? Do you recognize the same work/home trends?😅

🚀 Building Brands & Good Habits 🌟 Confidence Comes From Keeping The Promises You Made To Yourself. ~ Harvey Specter, Suits ⚖️ That’s how I cultivated my focus yesterday: 1. Prioritized Environment: Kept my room desk clean with minimal things 🖊️ 2. Good Food Intake: Ensuring I ate to fuel my body and mind 🥗 3. Adapting to Interruptions: Despite family urgencies in the first half, I regrouped and maintained focus later on 🎯 4. Strategic Breaks: Took mindful breaks, like going for a walk, rejuvenated my energy and clarity when felt overwhelmed 🌱 5. Recommitting to Focus: Returning from breaks with renewed determination helped me regained focus 🧘♀️ With small promises to self, I channeled two hours of uninterrupted focus and successfully crafted the homepage content for my website. As someone who regularly struggles with anxiety, I’ve incorporated a few easy Sunday night tasks that tamp that down and help me feel prepared for the week. These likely aren’t anything novel or new to ya’ll, just sharing what I’ve found to be helpful. - Family calendar review: I make sure I’m aware of any games, practices, appointments, etc…so I can be there for my family. I also try and pencil in things that I know will “fill my bucket” like dinner with friends or a hike and lift. - Work calendar review: I make sure I have a handle on the week’s meetings and desired deliverables. If additional prep is needed on any of it, I block time in advance to prep. - I pick out my clothes and pack my gym bag. Few things seem to throw a day off for me more than not being able to find clothes I want to wear. If you ever see me in jorts, you can safely assume I forgot to take my clothes out of the washer. - I have a plan for breakfasts. Again, it reduces the number of decisions I have to make when I’m getting started for the day. It also stops me from starting the day off with leftover pizza. All in all, it typically takes me anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. Do I still forget and/or miss steps? Definitely. But over time I’ve grown more consistent and disciplined. Have a great week! Be good to each other. #weeklyprep
