If you're reading this, you've probably come across posts on LinkedIn like, "Stop applying for jobs the ABC way and try these remote job providers instead." I've seen countless posts like these, and some are still saved in my "saved posts" folder. But do they actually help you land a remote job? The answer isn't straightforward. The remote job market saw a surge in 2020-2021, but since then, the odds have become steep—roughly a 3:1000 ratio of remote jobs to applicants. Like many others, I’ve tried various remote job networks, and here’s what I found: • 10% of the time, I received an automated response: "We received your resume and will contact you after reviewing it." • 60% of the time, I couldn’t find anything worthwhile on these platforms. • 30% of the time, I couldn’t even get my profile approved—and I'm still waiting for a response. So, let’s be realistic. These networks have lost much of their value. Yes, there are some authentic jobs out there, but with those 3:1000 odds, you’re unlikely to even get an acknowledgment email. #jobseekers #jobhunt #remotejobs

If you’ve been applying for remote positions recently, you’ve probably come across listings for jobs in Remote, Oregon. The lesson I learned from this article is that I should have been applying for those jobs, not clicking away from them.

The decline in Remote-eligible positions ➕ the increased number of people targeting only Remote roles = Hard Work Strategy Required 🥇 Remote Job Seeking ♦️♦️♦️  - Have your list of targeted 🎯 companies (preferably) and set up Job Agents on their career sites. You will be sent an alert immediately when a position opens that meets your criteria. If you don't get there quickly 🏃, the chances are greater you'll be buried with the hundreds of other applicants.  - When you apply, make certain your resume CLEARLY reflects your qualifications 🧲 for that role. Don't assume that the person (Yes, "person", not imaginary "Robot ATS Overlord") reviewing it knows anything about the role other than what is on the job posting.  - Great Advice: 🔭 Find someone you can reach out to at the company. Look through your contacts for anyone who is currently there or has been there in the past. Look for anyone who may know someone there and get them to make an introduction 🤝 for you. Don't "beg for the job", try "Hey, I'm considering this role I found and would like to know your thoughts on the company. Can you spare 10 minutes to talk?". ☎️  - PLEASE (please please please) If you are kinda/sorta maybe somewhat "qualified" 🎰, don't friggin' apply. You're just gumming up the process and chances are EXTREMELY low that someone will read your Unqualified resume and immediately understand you "have a great attitude and can be trained"! This is a Hard market. 👷 Remote job posting now account for approximately 9.1% 😧 of all postings. Good morning LinkedIn community, Creating my banner for full time work for remote/hybrid employment for customer service industry. This post is different from prior posts because may possibly have a chance to rejoin a company that was my second job at one point. I meet with the manger on Thursday to speak on employment. Which I had planned to do again, was work two jobs or three. It’s been three years since I stopped working more than one job. Sure, had breaks from working so much but every since I was on my own, that’s what I did to survive. Let’s just say it my “Pride” in which I rather do that than ask for assistance. I have asked help but I rather not and choose not. Also I know if I asked my loved ones would help. Now my focus is a remote full time job. I stand strong on that desire to become remote. So again, take a look at my resume employers or recruiters. Just asking for a chance.
