I became centre of attraction in party (and so my post became) One of the biggest day of my life I was very happy and excited for my housewarming party. I have given each and every detailing to my tailor for the dress. A day before, I brought my pretty dress from tailor. The next day, My aunt helped me in wearing saree. The moment I went in the party Everyone start admiring me😌. That admiration was expected for Elizabeth, Isn't it? You people also wear pretty clothes while going out. Right? So why discrimination with your post? They also deserve to become centre of attraction. Make them wear their dress before they go out in other feeds. Dress? This is why you should always get dressed up When I see someone dressed up I immediately think 'she's got her s**t together.' This level of agency, freedom, self-acceptance and confidence is like cat-nip to others. It is one of the biggest ways you can express yourself and truly step into your power. What’s you in full force, or are you still in hiding? Do you dress down or not pay much attention to what you wear? Have you explored this? Dressing up will only bring with it great things. It doesn't mean go to work in a tutu, that’s missing the point. It means paying attention to the clothes that bring you joy, making more of a bold statement and owning it when you walk into a room. Maybe you're already coming in hot? If you're not I recommend you honor your own swinging peacock, I recommend you just, get, dressed, UP! Wearing the dress for no good reason other than you feel like it. Suspend self-doubt. Be a presence and feel comfortable with it. Go big, not small and float above the idea that it might be too much, that people think you’re trying too hard. They won’t. Who's with me? #personalstylist #personalbrand

My favorite color has always been RED. My favorite boots are red. My motorcycle is red (her name is Ruby). I married a redhead. Red is kinda my thing; in fact, when my husband buys himself new clothing, if the item comes in red, he gets it in red, because of me. (His hair color wasn't his choice, but I like to think if he could, he'd still choose red hair because of me. But I digress.) Lately, though, I've been weirdly into green, which has always been my LEAST favorite color (except as it applies to traffic lights; then my whole red/green preference inverts). Last year, I bought a bright green watch, and from there, I've been dabbling in other green clothing and accessories — grassy flip-flops here, an olive dress there. And as y'all can see, I'm also now sporting the green "Open to Work" banner on my profile pic, because as of yesterday, my employment with Guild has come to an end as part of a 25% RIF. Coincidentally, yesterday was also the last day of school for my kids, so today we all start a summer respite — which includes some green-related goals: 1. Spending more time outside. I planted a bunch of stuff this spring (typically I procrastinate until June, but this year, I had all the pretty things in the ground and in porch planters by Mother's Day), and now I have time to sit/play outside and enjoy it (not to mention maintain it). 2. Learning something new. A few weeks ago, I signed up for a free Intro to Psychology course, but haven't had time to even get started, because between the whirl of work and the end of the school year, each day lurched past at lightning speed. Now, however, I've got some time, so I'm going to take a stab at a topic on which I am currently very "green." 3. Getting healthier. (See #2 above for reasons I haven't been working out, and HAVE been eating a lot of fast food. Let's flip that, shall we?) I gotta say, I'm pretty excited about all this (and about cleaning and organizing my house; if you know me, you know how much I love a sparkling floor and an organized pantry) — and I hope to incorporate more green into my life going forward, in a number of ways. However, I'm not looking to be wearing this green banner forever, so I'd appreciate any leads, connections, good vibes, and/or recommendations you have to shoot in my direction. I come with more than a decade of writing and editing expertise, coupled with nearly a decade of content strategy to bring to the right organization — and as a bonus, as I was told yesterday by a former manager, "[my] skill with a spreadsheet is second to none!" 😄 (What can I say? Organization is my jam.) I also have a recipe for some amazing cinnamon rolls (that are most certainly NOT in keeping with ANYONE's goals to get healthier, but everything is a balance, yes?). Let me know if you need more information about, or help with, any of the above. Happy to oblige. In the meantime, I'm going to go write something, clean something, and then play outside. 😎

Are you hiding? In a recent conversation with a client that's what we talked about - she was dressing to hide herself… As a professional, she's smart and confident and very much a no nonsense Office Manager. And personally, well…overall she just felt a bit lost on that, self concious of her body, the fact she was in her fifties and didnt know what she was meant to dress like for her age. That's what we'll be working on together and over the next few weeks I hope to make her not only feel better about herself but more confident in her style & colours. Elegance starts with your mindset.  Think what feels elevated FOR YOU. Think opposite of fads and trends. Think timeless.  One thing that all the female founders that I’ve had the privilege of meeting have in common is that they don’t wait to feel like their more elevated self to start dressing like her.  They dress like who they want to be, and that transforms how they show up in the world and works itself in from the outside.
