On this day, we pause to honor and remember lives lost on September 11, 2001. The events of that day left an indelible mark on our country, forever changing how we view the world and our shared values. It is a moment in history that reminds us of the resilience of the human spirit and the courage of those who responded with unwavering strength and selflessness. We stand with the families and loved ones who continue to carry the weight of that loss. As we reflect on this day, we also acknowledge the countless individuals who have worked tirelessly to rebuild and recover from the devastation, from first responders to everyday citizens who came together in the aftermath. Their dedication serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of community, unity, and the commitment to moving forward while never forgetting the past. The lessons of 9/11—solidarity, resilience, and justice—continue to inspire us. At Feldman Kodsi, we draw from these lessons as we approach the work we do every day. As legal advocates, we are committed to protecting the rights and interests of our clients with the same steadfast dedication to justice that was shown by so many on that fateful day. Today, we remember and honor the lives lost, the heroes who emerged, and the strength that defines us as a nation. #NeverForget #911Remembrance #Resilience

It's been 100 years since the birth of the Geneva Declaration of the Rights of the Child, authored by Save the Children International's founder Eglantyne Jebb. This visionary and bold stance has not only enabled the progress of young people everywhere; personally it gave me the language and framework to cultivate my passion and do my part in bettering our world. However, there is still a long way for us to go where children's lives are valued equally, EVERYWHERE. https://lnkd.in/dQatYiy4

Be the courageous defenders your children rely on, safeguarding them from external influences that seek to shape their beliefs and identities. Amidst the currents of societal pressures and educational agendas, stand firm as their guardians, preserving their innocence and allowing them to embrace the joy of childhood. Shield them from the subtle indoctrination of institutions and the pervasive influence of a world eager to rob them of their youthful spirit. By championing their right to be children, you empower them to grow with authenticity and resilience, untouched by the pressures to conform.

https://lnkd.in/eZxHHpvF Schoolhouse Rock Life, liberty, and justice" are foundational concepts often associated with the principles of democracy and human rights. Here's a brief overview of each: 1. **Life**: This concept emphasizes the fundamental right of every individual to live. It encompasses not just the physical existence of a person, but also the opportunity for a fulfilling life, including access to necessary resources such as food, shelter, and healthcare. 2. **Liberty**: Liberty refers to the individual's freedom to make choices without undue restraint or oppression. This includes freedom of speech, religion, and the right to pursue one's own path, as long as it does not infringe on the rights of others. It is a core principle in democratic societies that supports the protection of personal freedoms and autonomy. 3. **Justice**: Justice involves the fair treatment of individuals and the equitable application of laws and standards. It seeks to ensure that all individuals have access to due process and that wrongdoings are addressed fairly and appropriately. This also includes social justice, which pertains to the distribution of resources and opportunities in society. These principles are often enshrined in legal frameworks, constitutions, and international human rights documents, and they serve as guiding ideals for governments and societies worldwide.

_THE PHASES OF LIFE_ The stages of life for every one is the same, and so is the Phases; _Stages vs Phases of Life;_ 1. Child stage, who is eager to Learn; 2. Adult stage, who is applying what he has learnt, otherwise Living 3. Elder stage, where he is looking to impact in people, also known as Legacy The term we use for people who exceedingly do well in undergoing these stages is Great people, because they truly showed that they have learnt, lived and are still learning and or living and now impacting. The "not-great people," are either; 1. Learning when they are at the stage of impacting, 2. Not learning nor living, just existing or 3. Refuse to impact but enjoy the wealth that comes with the living phase. The question is what Phase are you now? Are you a child, an Adult or an Elder? Extract from a msg by Dr. M. I don't understand why more people are not watching and sharing this video. It is deeply moving and offers critical substantive actions that Yeshiva University has been taking since 10/7 under the leadership of Rabbi Dr. Ari Berman. First, Rabbi Dr. Berman discusses the heroic actions of his son, protecting not just Israel but the entire free world on the front lines of the war against barbarism. Next, he shares how hard that is for him as a parent and yet how proud he is. Later, there is a discussion alluding to significantly increased enrollment at YU, which is not by accident. Rather, it is part of a brilliant and morally clear-eyed concerted movement led by Rabbi Dr. Berman to create a safe haven for Jews and others who feel unsafe on other campuses. A "helicopter mission," so to speak, to save victims at colleges where hate, harassment, and violence are allowed to rage. EVERYONE should watch this video, and we will be promoting it up on our S.A.F.E. Campus social media pages. No, I have no relationship with the University or with Rabbi Dr. Berman (although I am a proud graduate of YU's Cardozo School of Law). One quibble with one anchor who falsely characterized Zionism as a political view. That is not true. Zionism is a part of the ethnicity of many Jewish people, part of the religious views of other Jewish people (including orthodox Jews like me), and invokes the very nationality of Israelis (Jews and non-Jews alike). In other words, it's fully protected under federal, state, and city discrimination laws. That's not politics. I do not at all blame Rabbi Dr. Berman for laying off the comment, but I feel it is important to set the record straight and say something here that he simply couldn't say on the air to an anchor panel that really did mean well. It was a beautiful interview that gave a platform to an incredible institution doing incredible things under absolutely superb leadership. THIS is what a University President should be. PLEASE WATCH THIS VIDEO!
On Monday, I spoke with abc7NY as we commemorated the one year anniversary of the October 7 massacre and how, in this unprecedented time, Yeshiva University has risen to the moment as an educational beacon of light for our Jewish and diverse student populations. Watch below:
