New research from KPMG shows that 21% of UK consumers have not visited a bank branch in the last year. But much more than half (64%) say they would miss the loss of their bank branch. This goes to the heart of how customers want both digital and in-person channels for accessing financial services 🏦 Shared banking hubs are just one way in which banks are enabling customers to access services in person, but only 38% of Brits said that they had previously heard of a bank hub 💬 What more can be done to help customers understand the value of bank hubs? We'd suggest investing in digital self service to make hubs operationally efficient and able to offer superior service, whilst also making them truly representative of every customer's banking service and giving customers an opportunity to try them out by opening more than the handful open today.
