McLaren Group sees enhanced operating performance in nine months to end-September 🏎️📈 McLaren, the supercar, tech and motorsport giant, reported revenue of £617.6 million (m) in the nine months to end-September, a year-on-year increase of 80.2 percent. This reflected an uplift in volumes and a shift in the model mix towards higher priced models, said the firm, alongside the third quarter of 2023 being affected by a short-term slowing of deliveries. The company, which has a headquarters in Surrey, offers a range of luxury high performance vehicles across four product groups - Ultimate (Solus GT), Supercar (750S Coupe, 750S Spider, Artura Coupe, Artura Spider), GT (GTS) and Motorsport (720S GT3, Artura GT4). 🔴 NEWS: Ahead of Lewis Hamilton‘s arrival at Ferrari, the team could do a technical change of direction with the pull-rod front suspension being in focus. The pull-rod front suspension is being used by Red Bull and McLaren, with the design clearly having aerodynamic advantages. The airflow is being improved around the front of the car and critically for the venturi tunnels underneath. The underbody creates most of the downforce, hence the importance of it. To revise the suspension would require an all-new chassis due to the need of new attachments to the suspension arms and movement of the internet mechanism. The change could also require a different driver position, which could improve weight distribution, an area Ferrari is keen to find gains in. Ferrari is the only team to run a pull-rod rear suspension. The team is convinced that there are no significant gains from having a push-rod concept on the rear of the car like other teams have.
