Australian Drone manufacturing industry and supply chains....... While Ukraine Defence and Civil industry are now well advanced in developing general drone platforms, at a reported estimated rate exceeding 40 thousand units per month. Australian industry has the ability to support not only the acceleration of Ukraine land power, but also our own through increasing solutions and proving mid-TRL products in Ukraine. The following short list of UAS capability enhancement areas could contribute in providing Ukraine and Australia with an advantage: - UAS LM arming sub-systems (improve Ukraine drone team safety) - Autonomy in final flight for LM - Counter EW (last mile of engagement) - Autonomous air to air drone detection system C-UAS. - UAS to UAS engagement system, kinetic platform or projectile. - UAS agnostic, modular payload systems - munitions (soviet/NATO types), water, rations, medical/bloods. - UAS tethered connection systems - Static OP and optic fibre (TOW type payload control sub-systems). - Higher density battery solutions - Weight reduction/ extended endurance -Future - Steerable Laser comms link sub-system - Counter EW (think Starlink satellite to satellite comms) Excluding governement hand-outs, what barriers exist for local civil and defence product manufacturers to focus energy on developing these kinds of solutions? Do you need assistance in linking to Ukraine end-users? Should there be a program of effort in place for industry to industry connection, supported at the Ukraine-Australian political/government level? Food for thought and if you have any others to add to the list or ideas around reducing the barrier to entry for new products into Ukraine, please let us know in the comments. Article with Ukraine Ambassador to Australia Vasyl Myroshnychenko informing that Ukraine is a good proving ground for Australian equipment (Hawkei). https://lnkd.in/g9HYGCDd #innovation #combatinnovation #drones #uas #ukraine #slavaukraine #australianmanufacturing
