To all the incredible parents, grandparents, and coaches out there – this one’s for you.
It nights like tonight that reminds me the sacrifices we all make and I think you deserve a shout out.
You’re the ones teaching kids more than just the game – you’re showing them commitment, resilience, and the value of showing up for others.
To every one of you braving the cold, the rain, and your packed schedules to keep these clubs and teams thriving: you’re building something bigger than sport. You’re building communities, futures, and values that will last a lifetime.
Take a bow.
Evening I just wanted to do a bit of a an appreciation post to all the. Coaches out there, the parents that no matter whether it's wind, rain or shine, which shine is very rare in these winter, winter months and summer. That, you know, come and support the kids. The coaches that do it in the rain. The parents that stand and watch their kids during the rain, you know, while doing everything else that they have to do, whether that be in business, working, whatever it might be. And when you've got young kids that are playing sport, it is that constant roller coaster. Work training matches. Work, training, matches, continuous cycle and all that. My love trains shoes day Wednesdays, Fridays, two matches Saturday, one match Sunday. I love it. I wouldn't change it. Was just scored a cracking goal. I wouldn't change it. But yeah, still a big shout out there to all those parents that are that come out in this weather and the coaches that take the kids to you.
Well said. My daughter Caitlyn Pearce and her partner Aaron Lowe run an under 12 girls football team called Highfield Grange Hornets. It's their 1st fill season and the losses may outweigh the wins right now but its a joy to see and hear how Caitlyn and Aaron as their coaches are building a team and developing friendships between the team. They do so much together away from the pitch..
It's a credit to them both but also to the parents who happily go along with all the team bonding ideas they come up with

SUCCESS is a deeply personal and subjective concept. Meeting personal goals- feeling fulfilled and happy in life- the ability for growth following obstacles or challenges- maintaining a lifelong journey of self improvement. Succession should be defined by YOUR core values not others. #leadershipbaltimorecounty#defineyoursuccess

Our Structural Determinants of Health are all connected. My work in social justice is rooted in a deep commitment to creating equitable pathways for repair, and collective healing. I believe that addressing systemic inequalities begins with acknowledging the historical and present-day barriers that disproportionately impact Black communities. Through initiatives like Fight Blight Bmore, I’ve worked to highlight and tackle the interconnected issues of urban blight, housing insecurity, and racial injustice, such as those explored in The Anatomy of Blight Report.
Housing security is a cornerstone of my efforts because stable housing lays the foundation for individual and community well-being. Community development, to me, means more than revitalizing physical spaces—it’s about investing in people and fostering environments where they can thrive economically, socially, and emotionally.
Healing is central to my approach because the challenges our communities face—displacement, systemic neglect, and generational trauma—demand restorative solutions. By integrating wellness, cultural sustainability, and opportunities for economic empowerment, I aim to create spaces where individuals and communities can heal and grow. My work is about building not just homes, but vibrant ecosystems where equity, justice, and collective transformation can flourish.

Beloved Community isn't just a concept; it's a calling.
It's about fostering love within ourselves, among each other, and extending it to our Earth. In education, we often shy away from discussing love, but it's the very foundation of thriving.
By aligning our daily lives with wisdom and compassion, we create spaces where diversity unites and every soul feels cherished. Let's build this community together. 🌍💖
