Proceed with caution before connecting to public Wi-Fi. 🫣 In an interview with CNBC, Varonis' Matthew Radolec discussed the increase of "evil twin" attacks, which target public Wi-Fi in airports or coffee shops. Users rarely read the terms and conditions before connecting to these free services, making it the ultimate hacker honeypot. “It’s almost a game to see how fast you can click ‘accept’ and then ‘sign in’ or ‘connect.’ This is the ploy, especially when visiting a new location; a user might not even know what a legitimate site should look like when presented with a fake site,” Matt said.
