I think you have covered a lot of the bases here Andrew in your post and there is a lot to consider when looking at remote work versus office-based. A big influencing factor for this choice lies with the type of role that you are looking at. An IT programmer, for example, might want solitude and work better in a non-distracted environment at home. Where a sales executive could thrive in a team space in a sales office. Lots to think about....
