Exploring Human-Centered Design in the Built Environment 🌱 As I delve deeper into my Master's thesis, I'm focusing on the impact of human factors, perception, productivity, health, and well-being in the built environment. My aim is to investigate how architecture and interior design can enhance our daily experiences, improve productivity, and promote overall well-being through thoughtful, sustainable design. This work is not just limited to the theoretical realm—I'm eager to apply these insights practically and am considering applying for a PhD to further research this important field. If you have experience or a shared interest in topics like sustainable architecture, UX design in spatial environments, or human-centered design, I’d love to connect and collaborate! 💼 I am also looking for internship opportunities in Europe, particularly in Germany, where companies or organizations are working on similar projects. If you know any, I would be happy to explore opportunities to collaborate as an intern. 🤝 Feel free to reach out if you're working on similar projects or are passionate about exploring these areas together. Let’s create spaces that truly enhance human experience! #architecture #uxdesign #humancentereddesign #phdresearch #sustainabledesign #wellbeing #builtenvironment #internship #germany #europ

A Tale of Design and Friendship: Bridging Continents. Over the years in the creative industry, I've met countless talented designers, and sometimes, co-workers become true friends. One such special story began two decades ago, in 2004. When Fang joined our agency as an intern. Our shared passion for excellent design was immediately palpable – a passion that was to connect us, no matter how far apart we were. Though our paths parted when Fang returned to China, we stayed in touch. Finally, this spring, our long-awaited reunion took place in Beijing. For two days, we reminisced, laughed over old stories, and shared our visions for the future of design, modern art and architecture as well as Chinese traditions such as calligraphy. It was more than just a gathering of old friends – it was a heart connection that transcended the boundaries of time and space. It reminded us that being a designer is not just a profession. It’s a passion that sparks an inner driving force that compels us to achieve excellence. We are united by the constant search for the best design solutions. While our story may be unique, I'm sure many of you have experienced similar connections – connections that endure despite distance and time. Since then, Fang has launched her own creative studio, seamlessly blending Chinese and European cultures in design while catering to international clients. Keep an eye out for our upcoming joint projects, showcasing our global collaboration as we live our shared passion for excellent design. Please share your own experiences – where have you experienced such special connections? How far away are your good friends and soulmates? #designhochdrei #d3 #friendship #intern #designers #team #agencylife

Internship reflects: My internship have been wonderful. I been learning and growing so much. You don’t really realize how much fashion is included in the retail industry. Fashion isn’t just the clothes that we wear, It’s the style we create. Even though we’re going into a world where technology is a dominant field in the retail. In my next internship, I would really love to be more involved in the technology standpoint of the company. I would love to do designs for upcoming products that aline with trends of the interior design industry. For example, this year I seen a lot more abstract designs to the simple pieces. Most companies are using metaverse to create their technology presence. Graphic designers and visual designers work hand to hand with technology everyday. I would love to see how both team combine. Whats your thoughts on Fashion outside the clothing industry? How is technology part of the retail industry?

5 Tips on how to find Architecture Internship:- 1. Quality Emails over Quantity: We have formed the perception of massing emailing as the quickest way to find an internship which is absolutely wrong. Instead of mass emailing, write to the quality firms by sounding more personal. So that it should look like you are really interested in doing an internship in that particular company. 2. Local Architectural Associations: Go and dig into the websites of local Architectural Associations to find the list of firms and their contacts. This will reduce a lot of your time wasting on just googling. 3. Strong Portfolio: Keep your resume and portfolio updated with strong USPs. If you are aiming for a particular firm for the internship, look into their websites and see which software is used more or whom are they currently recruiting. Highlight that particular skill set in your portfolio. Again, your USPs should be strong. 4. Look through the company's website: When you are aiming to work in a particular company, you should keep checking their openings. Don't wait to update your portfolio when there is an opening. 5. LinkedIn Recruiters: Many of the firms, hire interns through LinkedIn Recruiters. So you should definitely be in touch with such recruiters. They are hiring on behalf of companies. Do let me know in the comments section if you are struggling to get an internship. #architecture #architect #archdaily #archilovers #art #architecturestudent #architecturephotography #interiors #interiordesign #interiordecor #interior #design #designer #india #internship Are you looking for an internship? https://lnkd.in/gQPTMK7c

The list of ID Jobs in Denmark has yet again been updated. https://lnkd.in/dstuX2wj The last couple of months have been rather slow with ID job listings, and I have not come across many positions labelled Industrial Designer. Actually, only a few of these new positions include the title industrial designer. But for most of the positions, there is sufficient overlap with the typical industrial design role, and I think it’s feasible for a specialised industrial designer to cover them. Most of the companies are in the engineering category, looking for technical designers, mechanical engineers, and product developers. Examples include Aasted, FOSS, VELUX, CIMBRIA, the LEGO Group, Technolution, and Scanico A/S. Furthermore there are also a couple of internships on the list at GUBI, Muuto, KOMPAN Global and Eskild Hansen Design Studio - All very interesting companies and design studios with great learning potential for ID students. --- 📣 "ID jobs in Denmark" is updated whenever I come across relevant ID positions. 🧠 I do this to share relevant information with my network of industrial designers, keep up with the design industry, and see where things are going. 🛜 If you come across ID positions in Denmark, OR if you are looking to hire Industrial designers in your company and want to share the job listings, please feel free to tag me or share the positions with me - I will happily include them in the list. There have been about 5.000 visits to the database until now. So I think it helps someone looking for new adventures or opportunities.

5 Points to keep in mind when applying for Architecture Internships : Part 2 1. Know the Organisation - Be thorough with the company and their work to let them know that you're highly interested in the role. 2. Prepare yourself for the INTERVIEW - Show your willingness to work with the company. Do not negatively talk about the previous organisations if you're applying for a job. It can be a trap!!! 3. Do not apply at the LAST MOMENT - Don't take too much time to apply for internship in the type of company you want to intern with. 4. In-person VISIT - This is highly recommended but for that do not forget to print high quality portfolio print. (Read caption of Part 1 to know more about Portfolios) 5. Accept REJECTIONS - Accept Rejections and do not get discouraged. Instead move on and keep pitching to the companies you want to work with. Learn from your mistakes and sharpen your strengths. A lot of new graduates are pretty down on the ID job market right now. Things are tough. What do you think they need to hear? Either as someone who's going through it now or someone who's been there. I'll start: the portfolio you graduate with usually isn't the one that gets you a job. It takes understanding your "user" (your ideal employer), identifying their needs, and then tailoring your work to those needs. I spent about 6 months revamping my portfolio to tell the story I wanted while working my last internship and some contract gigs before I got...yet another internship BUT in an area and industry I wanted to be in. Now, who's hiring in ID this week? Modern Sprout MANSCAPED Motorola Solutions Whirlpool Corporation LiveTrends Design Group And many more. Check them all out on the site! P.S. I use the front page of Just ID Jobs to promote the work of students and young designers. This week's featured image is by Philipp Seißler Want to submit an image? Meet Agibold, Agibold Strijker started his internship at Amud exploring spatial and experience design with a great focus on human-centred design and social interactions. He is a talented and dedicated creative seeking to establish himself as an experience designer. This year Agibold is graduating in Interaction design from TU Delft (Faculty of industrial design). Check out what he has to say about his experience and future in design: Where do you see the future (of design)? I envision a future with a strong emphasis on experience. How people experience products, services, and spaces will become more important. To me, experiences are events that go beyond the ordinary, evoking more intense feelings than usual. As a designer, I strive to create these impactful experiences and leave a lasting impression on people. Why House of Amud? I resonate with House of Amud's interdisciplinary approach to design. Like myself, they believe that good design comes from combining different disciplines and perspectives. Using different disciplines is key to creating well-rounded, impactful designs that are functional, emotionally engaging and memorable. What do you enjoy doing in your free time? In my spare time, I'm passionate about DJing. I love curating music to create memorable experiences for people, shaping unique atmospheres that resonate emotionally. I find a fascinating overlap between DJing and design—both involve creating experiences that deeply connect with others.
