Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) are often requested components in the construction of premium high-flow lube oil transfer systems. Typically, a pump and motor setup is measured in revolutions per minute (RPM), which can be converted to hertz (Hz). This means that a standard pump operating at 60 Hz can be effectively slowed down by reducing the output frequency setting on a VFD. This adjustment allows for greater control over the pump speed, enhancing efficiency and prolonging the equipment's lifespan. More to come on these type of set ups.

Variable speed drives (VSDs) are used to control electrical submersible pumping (ESP) systems and surface pumps. They enable adjustments to be made to production parameters and ESP output when downhole conditions change. Increasing and decreasing motor speed can be used to optimize pump performance, speed or slow production, and avoid gas locking and system cycling. VSDs protect pumps and motors by reducing electrical stress on startup and by adjusting to dynamic conditions as they change. The ability to vary the drive speed reduces the need to replace components, cuts downtime, and lowers costs while improving system runlife. VSDs can help improve the performance of a system by matching the speed to the load. VSDs are made up of a converter, DC link, inverter, and logic control. Due to an error in the valve of the gearbox oil cooling system this turbine needed to be throttled in power. Turbit could detect this problem early on the valve could be fixed in the next maintenance event, without additional costs.

We analyze recorded data on temperature, voltage, and battery performance to ensure that the battery is charging and discharging properly at low temperatures. Also how the heater inside the battery pack works. The operating temperature range for these types of batteries is wider, but heaters usually activate at temperatures below -10°C.
