These alternatives, such as e-cigarettes, heated tobacco, and nicotine pouches, offer adult smokers a pathway to less harmful nicotine intake, marking the first step toward quitting smoking. Countries like the UK and Sweden have seen remarkable success in reducing smoking rates by embracing these alternatives. The UK has halved its smoking population in the last decade, while Sweden boasts the lowest lung cancer rate in Europe, nearing zero smokers.
