I love Julie Brown's advice on networking. And these little videos are both entertaining and full of great tips. I used to think that I was a rubbish networker, being on the autistic spectrum and what not. However, Julie has showed me that I was wrong. Just because I feel awkward in a room full of strangers and hate small talk does not mean that I am rubbish at networking. Networking is not dating. I am great at networking because I love meeting new people and I have a desire to do so. I am great at networking because I am always keen to help people. I am great at networking because I love connecting people. I am great at networking because I love listening to people. I am great at networking because I am good at connecting and keeping in touch. If you want to find out what makes a great networker, Julie shares the seven key traits that makes a great networker in the appendix to her book "This Sh*T Works"... and guess what? Doing small talk is not one of them. Who knew?
