🚨 Exciting News Alert! 🚨 It’s here! The opening of the KBF Fall Active Fund Grant for Adaptive Sports Equipment is on July 1st! 🎉 The Kelly Brush Foundation provides grants for individuals with paralysis caused by spinal cord injury to purchase adaptive sports equipment like handcycles, monoskis, sport chairs, racing chairs, hockey sleds, and so much more. 🏅 Eligible equipment includes any piece of sports or recreation equipment specifically designed for people with disabilities that allow an applicant to be active. 💪 Plus, there’s a “Try It First” grant if you want to try a sport without large out-of-pocket upfront equipment expenses. This grant helps pay towards program or rental fees at an adaptive sports program to gain experience with the equipment applied for. 🙌 This grant is a game-changer! My athletic competition days are over, but as a momma to three athletic boys, we’re constantly talking about what makes you great at sport. Any GOAT will tell you that athletes aren't just born great. It takes talent, hard work, and sacrifice to be at the top of your game. And every athlete has experienced their fair share of injuries and setbacks. The truth is that greatness hurts —literally.
