Today we observe the anniversary of the National Apology to the Stolen Generations, which occurred on 13th February 2008. We acknowledge the sorrow and resilience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples, whose children were forcibly taken from their families, and recognise the importance of today in the healing journey. Beddown, as a part of inCommunity, stands together for healing and solidarity to promote truth-telling and empowerment for First Nations Peoples.

This got me in the feels. This man who lost his entire business in Helene... yet watch as he prays over Trump and the country! “I can’t think of anything I’d rather have than a warrior leading our country, a warrior with faith and prayer who will lead these communities back to greatness." REPOST and amplify his voice!! #thinblueline #lawenforcement

(9600+connections) Sales and MGMT leader for 30+ years. Patriot and Loves America! Enjoys friendly debates on any topic.
As a Christian I'd prefer a president that believes in prayer and trusts in God. However, we do live in a fallen world that has turned its collective back on God. I do not personally vote based on my faith. I listen to what candidates say and what they do. I've heard Trump talk about God several times and he even gave God the credit for saving him from an assassins bullet. I vote for the candidate that most closely supports things that are important to me....like....secure borders, an exit strategy for the 9-10 million illegals that Biden and Harris invited into America (but have a speedy path to citizenship for those illegals that have been here for decades but they cannot be given the right to vote), energy independence (again), bring more jobs back to America, and to stop sending money to other countries that hate us when we have hunger and homelessness here (fix America first). SIDE NOTE: If you claim to be a Christian then this last episode with Kamala Harris telling 2 Christian guys they were at the wrong rally after they shouted out "Christ is King and Jesus is Lord" then you shouldn't vote for her. I can vote for a non-Christian candidate but I cannot vote for an anti-God candidate like Kamala Harris that makes fun of Christians in public. #VoteTrump2024

Excellent points, Val. We who saw 9/11 terrorist acts will never forget the loss to so many families. It seems today, the principle of “see something, say something” lost its impact. When Ivy League and other students, potentially funded by foreign terrorists and career protesters, waved Hamas and ISIS flags, vandalized monuments, and intimidated Jewish and other students, it appears that speaking up no longer makes a difference. Many colleges fail to address severe antisemitic actions, while minor infractions against other groups often result in expulsion. Is it 1939 Germany or 2024 America? I have to ask myself seeing so many posts rightfully, honestly recognize our terrible losses on 9/11... but I haven't seen mention here or on the news of who did it and why. And now similar terror groups are here, loud, proud, and popularly accepted by faculty and students more than ever before. Let's not forget 9/11--and who and why they slaughtered innocents. And we can't afford to forget that terroristic goal hasn't diminished, as daily evidence indicates.
Today, we come together as a nation to remember September 11, 2001—a day that tested our strength but never broke our spirit. In the face of tragedy, we saw the best of humanity: compassion, resilience, and unity. As we honor the lives lost and the heroes who emerged, let us also celebrate the enduring strength that unites us all. Together, we are stronger. #UnitedWeStand #NeverForget #September11 #StrongerTogether

On this first Sunday morning of the new month of September 2024, I reflect on the timeless wisdom of Sir Shridath Ramphal, a global statesman, who was a son of Caribbean soil, whose words continue to resonate in our world today. In his powerful speech on receiving the Medal of Honour from the Caribbean Court of Justice, he warned against the dangers of "excessive nationalism" as an old enemy of freedom. He urged us to transcend narrow self-interests and embrace a broader vision: to see ourselves as part of "one nation, one region, one world." Reflecting on the recent race riots in the UK, the divisive rhetoric in the US and the wars and rumours of wars all over the world, Sir Shridath's message is more relevant than ever. In a world often divided by soft and hard borders, politics, and ideologies, his call to unity reminds us of our shared humanity and the collective responsibility we bear for our future. His vision of interconnectedness challenges us to rise above divisive rhetoric and work towards a global community where cooperation and mutual respect are the norms. As we navigate the complexities of today's world, I for one want to carry forward Sir Shridath Ramphal's legacy of excellence, striving to reach higher levels of perception and attainment. In doing so, we not only honour his contributions but also lay the foundation for a more just, peaceful, and unified future. #GlobalLeadership #UnityInDiversity #OneWorldOneFuture #ShridathRamphal #WisdomForTheAges Sir Ronald Sanders.
