💥 The Greek Golden Visa program is about to change: The minimum investment level is expected to increase According to an announcement from Greek Minister of National Economy and Finance, Kostis Hatzidakis, Greece's Golden Visa program is about to be adjusted with the minimum investment expected to increase higher. This is the latest information after Greece applied a minimum real estate investment level of 500,000 EUR in 36 centrally run cities in August 2023, along with a sharp increase in price trends in the suburbs of Athens, where the old EUR 250,000 minimum still applies such as Aegalo, Peristeri, Ilion, and especially in the luxurious port city of Piraeus. The new minimum investment level for the Golden Visa program is predicted to be up to 800,000 EUR in the central area and 500,000 EUR in Piraeus, Ilion.... The cause of the increase in investment value is said to be: Listed properties may need to incur lower investment minimums to attract more investment in historic properties in need of renovation, similar to Portugal's golden visa policy applied in many year.
