It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of one of Angelic Hospice founders Klara Vaysberg. She passed last week in Philadelphia after a two-year battle with ALS. “She was a wonderful woman who wanted to give back,” said Leonard Koltman who founded the company with Klara in 2013 out of the basement of her Ventnor home. “She had a diverse background and succeed at everything she did.” Indeed, her background included a successful career as a chemical engineer. After immigrating here with her husband from Azerbaijan she worked as a Social Worker for the city of Philadelphia. Later the couple opened a dairy company “Fresh Made”, making specialty cheeses and yoghurt. After the company sold and her husband passed, Klara wanted to give back to the community, so she and Leonard started Angelic Hospice. Since that time, the company has grown under the name Angelic Health and now includes other services such as palliative care, memory care and mental health. “She had a great heart and wanted to make a difference to help others,” said Angelic Health CEO Dan Mikus. Burial is private, but anyone wishing to honor her memory can donate to the Angelic Health Foundation in her name. https://lnkd.in/eyH66YRP
