👆Prioritization: we’ve all done it, subconsciously or intentionally, especially during the busy holiday season. 💡This week we are inspired by the zoo keepers of the world, whose responsibilities don't pause for the holidays. 📈 The primary job of a zoo curator is to maintain animal welfare, while also considering the visitor experience. 👆 For zoo curators to meet the needs of animals, visitors, and staff, they must prioritize what exhibits, programs, and outreach initiatives will be most beneficial and align with what matters most to each party. 🔍 In terms of your career, honing your prioritization skills can allow you to observe, evaluate, and focus on your most crucial tasks without feeling swamped or stuck. 👏 While the holiday season can feel overwhelming with added personal and professional pressures, a strong ability to prioritize can lead to more efficient and effective outcomes and less stress overall. 👉 Feeling swamped? Some steps for prioritizing include: 🔸Write down your list of tasks 🔸Delete at least three non-essential tasks off the list 🔸Delegate the tasks that can be delegated 🔸Determine how long the remaining tasks will take and schedule them into your day 🔸Do something to celebrate when you complete your tasks And remember a zoo curator never loses sight of whats most important (the animals), now should you - what's most important to you this holiday season? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- #successinscience #zoocurator #zoos #prioritization #careeradvice #careerjourney #sciencecareer #STEMcareer #collegestudent #gradstudent #college #learning #careerfoundation #career #careerdevelopment #careeradvice #holidays #christmas #survivingtheholidays #happynewyear #newyearsresolution

Do you have a cat that enjoys hugs? If so, you're fortunate! However, it's essential to recognize that not all cats appreciate this form of affection. Many prefer alternative gestures like playing, receiving treats, grooming, or birdwatching. Understanding your cat's preferences is crucial for fostering a strong bond. If you're curious about what truly makes your furry friend happy, consider consulting an Animal Communicator. They can help you decipher your cat's unique communication style and preferences, ensuring a deeper connection and mutual understanding. If you’re ready to have that deeper connection, book a consultation with me here - https://lnkd.in/eNTrGfZB #InternationalHugYourCatDay #CatHugs #AskYourAnimals

I talk to animals on BOTH sides of the 🌈 Bridge. All I need is a photo 🐕 Find out how your animal feels about you, their life, their past, their future, dying and the afterlife. 🐱 What would they say to you?🐴
Did you know that today is 'National Rescue Dog' Day? 🐶 🐶 🐶 🐶 Many of you know just how much difference you can make in a dog's life when you rescue a dog. 🏠 The thought of giving them a loving home, security, warmth, food, and love…is something that fills our hearts with joy. 😍 But what about that dog? What are THEY feeling? 😟 ❓ What have they brought with them from their past? ❓Have they got fears from their previous life, on or off the streets? ❓Do they have certain needs that they're unable to communicate with you? ❓How long have they been in a shelter and have they know a life outside of it? This time can be a very confusing time for the dog no matter how much you want to help it. 🌞 Imagine what a difference it could make if the animal understood better what was happening and why? 🌞 Imagine if its future was explained to it and it knew what to expect? 🌞 Imagine how wonderful it would be to give them a chance to express their fears which could then be respectfully addressed? We all know that, when we know what's coming and what we can expect, it's less scary. An animal communication session can help your dog settle quicker and easier, giving YOU peace of mind, and ultimately, just as you intended, a heart full of joy. 😍 Contact me to book your session if you find yourself in this situation. Happy Cow Appreciation Day! 🐮 Before we dive into our celebrations, let’s share a bit of history. Did you know this day started as a marketing campaign by a fast-food chain in 2004, promoting the idea that cows want people to eat more chicken? Regardless of its origins, as animal welfare advocates, we're reclaiming this day to celebrate cows for who they are. Let's deepen our appreciation for these wonderful animals with some fun facts: 👯 COWS HAVE BESTIES: Cows live complex social lives just like us, forming strong lifelong friendships with each other and feeling stressed when separated from their friends. 💡 COWS ARE SMART: Navigating complex social lives takes serious brain power. Curious in nature, cows think critically to solve problems and even show signs of excitement when solving a problem! 👋 COWS CAN REMEMBER YOU: Cows can tell people, animals and other cows apart by their shapes and colours!

If you care for pets on a stray hold, pre-adoption helps you make sure you're not missing out on interested adopters during the holding period. You might assume that only small, highly desirable dogs get pre-adopted, and they do! But Memphis Animal Services started pre-adoptions in 2019 and found that most of the dogs getting pre-adopted were actually medium dogs over 6 months old - the exact population most in need at their shelter. Are you interested in starting pre-adoptions at your org? Here's a step-by-step how-to for getting started!

Dreaming about dog poop can be unsettling, but there may be meaningful insights hidden within. The appearance of excrement often represents waste, pollution or distasteful issues we'd rather avoid. However, it also symbolizes releasing and letting go. Dog poop specifically could connect to responsibilities or duties pertaining to a pet we feel we've neglected. We may worry about failing an animal in our care. It could also suggest we're turning a blind eye to messes or problems we need to face up to and resolve. Refusing to pick up after our dogs is shirking accountability. Some believe animal excrement relates to spiritual or psychological waste matter needing to be expelled from our lives. Locating poop in our dream living space reflects issues within ourselves we must identify and appropriately dispose of to achieve emotional cleansing and lighten our mental load. If we're cleaning up poop in the dream, it may signify confront - https://lnkd.in/gN2kJGvz
