Living in the city often pushes us away from nature and into a maze of concrete. Isn’t it ironic how we've distanced ourselves from nature, only to seek it out passionately during holidays. This yearning to return to nature amidst our urban lifestyles highlights a complex relationship with our environment. At AnchorPoint Developers, we understand the importance of integrating nature into our urban projects. Our new project in Malad isn’t just another urban development. We've prioritized green spaces within the architectural plan to the extent that our three-acre project will have two-thirds part dedicated to greenery. With active support from government authorities, this initiative is our way of blending modern living with nature, offering residents a breath of fresh air right at their doorstep. #AnchorPoint #RealEstate #Sustainability

A great solution for those willing to think outside the box.
With space at a premium, especially in cities, rooftop development – building new homes on top of existing buildings as part of regeneration – provides a cost effective and sustainable option for creating the new homes that are so desperately needed. But while building upwards has the potential to create thousands of homes, not every location can accommodate a rooftop development. So, how do you identify suitable sites and how can Pretium’s Rooftop Development Framework, developed with Contracting Authority Watford Community Housing support you through the process? Dean Wincott and David Gatehouse of Langley Structures Ltd – supplier on Lot 1 (design and installation of superstructures) of our Rooftop Development Framework – talk about how to identify suitable sites in our latest blog. Wynwood, known for its unique blend of repurposed industrial charm and vibrant urban culture, is now at a critical juncture. The proposed Live Local Act looms large, potentially opening the floodgates to towering developments that defy the carefully crafted regulations that have defined our neighborhood's character. This legislation could pave the way for projects like Bazbaz Development's 48-story tower, a stark departure from the current 12-story limit set by the Wynwood Neighborhood Revitalization District rules. Such changes threaten to overwhelm our narrow streets with increased traffic and infrastructure demands, jeopardizing the very essence of what makes Wynwood a thriving community. #compassrealestate #realestate #luxuryrealestate #agentsofcompass #compass #realestateagent #compasseverywhere #realtor #architecture #luxuryhomes #condo

Hobbs+Black Architects is proud to have designed Woodview Commons, a new all-electric rental community in Scio Township. Aligning with Ann Arbor's zero-carbon initiative, the 218-unit community eliminates natural gas use and prioritizes sustainability by preserving 25 acres of natural habitat, including walking trails and a blue heron rookery. Residents enjoy amenities like a resort-style pool, fitness center, co-working spaces, and EV charging stations. "The proximity to vibrant Ann Arbor is an asset, but Woodview Commons and the natural beauty in the area provide residents a quiet home and a true retreat at the same time. Woodview Commons is the ideal choice for those who prioritize a blend of modern living, convenience, and environmental stewardship." – Nate Forbes. An excellent critique here of the C6 tower in Perth - asking whether we should really be building tall buildings at all, and certainly whether it is efficient to do so in timber. Key takeaways for me: 👍As a positive, Andrew's article suggests an upfront carbon footprint of 10,000tCO2e*, which is 220kgCO2e/m2, or 41t per apartment - which sounds pretty good to me. Though I'd love to see the final numbers! ⛈️However... the 6000t of timber used in the building is coming from Austria, shipped to Australia. This would double the emissions related to that timber, I believe. Could this wood have been better used in Europe? If sustainability was the goal, why wasn't Australian timber prioritised? 🌱And, given that most of the surrounding buildings are 3-6 storeys tall, what's the need for a 52-storey tower here? If used in low-rise construction, could those 6000t have been used to create a greater floor area? Timber construction continues to gain interest, but we need to keep asking where, how, and why we use it. Is 'tallest timber building ever' really an accolade worth persuing? Thank you Andrew Waugh for provoking some thoughts with my morning coffee! #timber #structuralengineering #netzero #climatechange *calculated from the statement around the biogenic carbon stored in the structure outweighing the upfront emissions of the building. At 6000t of timber, this would be around 10,000t of upfront emissions.

Manager_Sr. Graphic Designer At Meril Life Science Pvt. Ltd.
7moDear Sir! "Yesterday, I attended an interview for the Graphic Designer position at your head office in JB Nagar. The interviewer, Mrs. Rajvee, did not treat the candidates properly. She conducted the interview as if I was there to fight rather than apply for a job. I felt as though I had committed a huge crime by sharing my talent, experience, and skills. When I told her that I want to join a good company where I can use my skills to bring pride to both myself and the company, she became angry. What I mean to say is, if you need to reject someone, do it kindly, but don't be rude. Such people are dangerous for your company.
